Visual problem with Direct 3D

Why does my Creative GeForce card display flashing player polygons when I try to use the option : Direct3D T_L Hal from the visual options menu. I am under the assumption that wit this enabled it should deal with certain graphical wonders in hardware and not software mode (processor extensive) thus providing a better frame rate. Am I right? Is this a bug? If so will it be resolved?

P.S. Is UEFA Challenge and its programming team the REBIRTH of the gone but not forgotten ACTUA SOCCER empire? (STILL ONE OF THE BEST FOOTY GAMES OF ITS DAY - STILL PAY IT!!!!) :cool: :cool: :cool:

I am quite supprised nobody else has mentioned this. I have a geforce 2 ultra and get the same flashing disco lights that you mentioned. Hopefully the patch will sort it out. I think we will be looking at next week for the release...

Yep same thing happens to me aswell.. using a Geforce2 GTS.. weird obviously a glitch considering we r all having the same problem!!!

I had the same problem. Somebody recommended a reinstall and that solved it. No clue as to what causes this though.

I have just re-installed the game TWICE (with reboots inbetween) but to no avail I still get the flashing polygons.

PLEASE HELP!!!!!!.

My present card is C.Labs GeForce 256 Pro with revision 6.50 drivers, Dx8 and Win98SE.

That's me! How dare you forget!(just joking) Anyway I think the latest leaked 12.40 Nvidia drivers won't have this problem with hardware t&l. Get it from www.m3dzone.com. Read the readme for install, if you don't know how to install, ask here!
