Brian are u sure u downloaded the original file? Did u get it from the link that Wolf Posted? And are u sure it wasn't affected by ur computer after u dl? That's what happened to my old pc WIth klez i think or smth like this a worm anyway. It had infected all exe and zip i think

You were using BT client to download, that means you have opened some ports. and on Internet, there are always tons of virus everywhere. I always get notices from Norton Antivirus which told me some virus is detected while i m using BT to dl.

i downloaded patch with firefox and can verify its clean of all viruses(scanned with norton and housecall)

Have you downloaded wolf's evolution patch? If you had, you would have noticed that it came packed in a few rar files with one .exe file to start the whole thing. And that's where the virus is.
I got it in these two files :-
TheWolfF2005EvolutionPatchWE8IPC.part01.exe
TheWolfF2005EvolutionPatchPES4PC.part01.exe
The name of the virus is :-
Trojan Horse BackDoor.Iroffer.3.AR
Everytime I download a file I scan it for viruses before opening. When I got these files and scanned them, they were virus-free. When I recently updated my antivirus and did a full scan, I found these two and two more in my old torrent downloads.
For those who thought if was ABD, by all means don't scan your pc again...because if you rush off and scan, it might mean you did something with your bum

I scan all of my stuff on the deepest possible scan method before I upload anything. Everybody would have a virus if it was anything attached to my files.
M8, I have the deepest respect for what you've done for the game and I don't mean to imply that you had anything to do with it. I think you'd rather be raped by 4 banshees than to do a thing like that.
It's actually child's play to download your patch, add a virus in and RESEED it [under a different torrent] so not EVERYONE would get it, only those who downloaded that particular torrent. What spooked me was the fact that it was a virus that could only be detected one or two months after I'd downloaded the file.
I mentioned 2 other files I got infected with. Well it was strip poker that I downloaded via torrent also.

maybe there is some worm script file in your bt default download folder, whenever you browse this folder using file explorer, the script activates and tries to detect new uninfected files...
