By holding R1 and R2 together you can take full control of the receiving player, easy to do with PS2 controller, not so easy with keyboard.

Maybe when your first start. You really have to watch the ball and time your challenges, getting close enough and pressing O isn't good enough in PES

All I have to say is this. When I bought ISS PE way back in 2000 it never left my PS until WE6I came out this year. Since March that game hasn't left my PS2. In that time FIFA'a 01,02 and 03 were discarded within weeks. That's the difference right there. That's when you know quality from junk. I know when WE 7 comes out in Feb it wont be leaving my PS 2 until WE 8.
Northstar I have WE7 and when I want a low aiming shot U have to press the shot button REALLY FAST. I mean u gotta barely touch it. If u have a player like Henry and your in a good posiiton it will be a well placed Low goal. I wish i could play the demo but my pc really blows.
Well I’m back at work after a long weekend playing the PES 3 demo till early in the morning 
And man what a weekend I had!
PES 3
As I mentioned in earlier posts, this was the first time I have ever played PES! And I am even more amazed after this weekend... The game is so realistic and tough to get control off, it has so many challenges!
For instance it is hard to make a perfect tackle, it's hard to score, it's hard to make a perfect pass!!! But once you make that perfect shot, pass or tackle it brings a very big smile to my face!!! Man I love this game!!
Although I never played the game I’m only playing games at star level 5!! And it's very hard to even score! The first couple off games I didn't even manage to get to the penalty area!! Can't wait till on-line play and challenge players all over the world !!! (and i still haven't won a game at this level )
Sorry to say to EA, they do know what marketing is, but they don't now how to make a realistic soccer game (can't even believe me saying that after 10 years of loyalty to fifa!!)

me like many others in here, have been PC players, therefore limited to Fifa over the years, i have rented PES a few times over the years, for various consoles, but have never really gave them a good go, as my main love was my PC, was pleased to be able finally to run PES3 on my PC, and really look forward to buying the full version on release, sad to say that due to EA's lack of genuine intrest in soccer and the Fifa series over the years, that this year will be the first year that i won't be purchasing it

I have been playing this demo for days now and love it.. some flaws . like a loose ball my highlighted player's moving towards the ball and his icon suddenley jumping to another player. I played the game in all mode from 1*star to 5*star all I thought played to fast, the AI that is, but in 5*star mode this was a bit unreal the AI was way to fast. I kicked off and the AI teams forward ran from the left hand side of the centre cirlce and chased my player who was moving along the halfway line towards the dugouts, was he was fast closing me down I passed the ball back to my right back and the forward turned and ran at him again closing fast I passed in field to one of my C'Defenders, he moved after him I passed twice more until the ball ended up on the halfway line on the other side of the park with my left back the forward had chased the ball full paced all the way from my forward at kick off to my right back about 20yrds back from my forward to my C'Defender left - C'Denfender right then onto my right back ( unreal ) and this happened with most players. So much so , that I had basically to first-time pass every ball to stop being closed down and tackled, it was not enjoyable it was like ping pong. I also tired one at kick off 5 star, I ran my forward (Italy ) v ( Spain) all the way from kickoff to the edge of there penalty area no problem last gasp slide tackle go the ball from me..?? I found to that if you wanted again even in 5 star you could run the ball up the wings without that much bother and get a cross in...but on the whole you had to get rid of the ball as it came to you or you lost it ..
Yes I want a challenge at 5 star .. but not a 100mph one .. the game needs slow'd down..so you can "Play" football .. not something akin to 5 a side fast one touch pass and shoot..
that said I will be getting this game , I love it... but needs to be slow'd down a bit!
hope you get a speed option in the game.
PS.... In play , players seem slow to make runs off you so you can make passes or through ball, ( could be me? is there a button to make players go on runs? ) and midfielders seem slow to come frowards to give you passing options..
