Was quite impressed. I detested all the past PES's, but this one plays ok. I'm glad i now have two great new footy games to choose from :)

I just got to play the PES3 demo for the first time. And I have never played the game before! I have spend many hours in playing the fifa series!. I played the game on the lowest level, Itali (me) against Spain and won 2-0.

I was really pleasently surprised by this game! The gameplay was really supurb. In fifa i always missed something and i think i have found it in PES3: "Realism!!!" The way the players pass, run, shoot, tackle, move and so on, it's just amazing! Like in real life.

I must say that i played the demo on a very slow machine (at work) and therefor PES played very slow. But what i have seen made me smile! I hope tonight i will have a really good view on the game when i play it on a faster pc (at home)!

Pleasantly surprised? Heh, you must have had some incorrect expectations for PES3. ;)

The sad fact is, the majority of people are playing an inferior game mainly because of the licences and claim it to be realism.

Well, welcome to the PES community, hope you enjoy your stay. We need as many converts from FIFA as we can.

I hope we did not loose Arni right away after KYRO's rude post.
That kind of statements make it hard for FIFA-fans to step to this forum: "Thanks" KYRO :f***:

This guy knows his football if he can recognise the brilliance of PES immediately;)
But the sadder fact is some of those people still wont "get" what realism is even if thay had it in their face.:S

Ha, but the licences are ok for the cosmetics etc, and are very good, but on the other hand the licences don't make for great gameplay and realistic football on the pitch, as has been proven in the past by certain other football releases.

hey, i havent completely switched, but i am enjoying it the more i play it. I stil lplay fifa, will prolly get both. i have to say im a sucker for the little things i.e. real names/stadiums graphics etc. im superficial like that, but PES3 got me a lot closer to it though.

BTW: Keep it shtum, dont tell the fifa guys im even here! i'll get slaughtered on site the second i step back into the fifa forum. (you aint seen me)...

As PES gets more popular there seem to be more arguing and moaning threads, rather than the football and tactics threads of the old days.

Hopefully when PES3 is finally out for PC we can get back to the more interesting threads discussing the finer points of the game?

I'm downloading the demo right now... the only footy game from Konami that I ever played was ISS for N64...and it rocked...

Now, I can't stick anymore with Fifa... is like economic competence: you stick with the better... so you... FiFa converts, what can you tell me about the PES Demo?

...that you have hopefully a good graphical card with at least 128 MB Videoram, else it may run too slow :)
Just read all PES 3 demo-topics to see what we said about this superb game :)

You have to know that PES3 doesn't have real names! Well maybe a few like itali and Spain. But what really matters is the gameplay! Once you are used to it, the game is supurb. You are in total control! Almost every pass or shot is thinkable!

What me excited the most was the way the player moves, passes, shoots and dribbels with the ball, its so realistic! I do confess i like fifa because of the realnames and stuff, but after playing this demo, i understand why most PES fans disslike Fifa!

ITS FAR MORE REALISTIC AS FIFA! I don't say i won't play fifa anymore, but once PES3 is available in store, i will report in sick at work and stay home for the next couple months :D

Fifa 2004 is a mayor leap over their earlier releases but PES3 is way ahead concerning gameplay and this is just their first on the pc! I am looking forward in their next releases.

Ps.: I have played PES3 demo 4 times now and have never played PES before :rockman:
