have 5 year old agp system that i will not be replacing anytime soon. pretty much only play fifa and a couple of other things on occasion. currently have a 7600gs 512mb. play at 1280x1024 on high settings on a 22" lcd. newegg has 6800gt's for $29. these have ddr 3 memory and a much larger bandwidth. any advantage in switching to this card? also thinking of going up to a 24" monitor. how would the cards work with a larger lcd? mainly interested because of the price.

the 7600gs is a 7 series higher end card, as is the 6800gt of the 6 series.

if the memory ram wise & memory interface wise is better than the 7600gs i would
get it because its the gt.

just make sure it supports the same features as the 7600gs.

i have a gt 240 installed & 2 9800gts shipping to me right now.

i would say get a better card than the 6800gt but since your mobo only supports agp you dont have many other options.

Why dont try ATI video cards? I got the ATI X 1950 PRO and i play Fifa10 or PES at the best resolution without crashes.....:)
