Vålerenga too strong for Brann

The both Norwegian teams was good in the first qualify to UEFA Cup. Yesterday they met each other, in top vs bottom match.
Brann could had 6 points to Stabæk on runner up place after that match, but Morten Berre and Vålerenga wanted to get away from the relegation zone.

Johannes Ertl are on a trial with Vålerenga on La Manga. He could get a chance tomorrow versus Sandefjord in our last friendlymatch before the season starts.

Any austrian or other guys who know this defender from earlier?

Finally is the day here. The Norwegian Supercup is going to be played 19:00 today. Stabæk vs Vålerenga, just like the cupfinal (where Vålerenga won 4-1!)

I really hope we take our first title today and start the season vs Rosenborg good. Then we can again bring home the trophy. But today we have to focus on the Champions 2008, Stabæk, who will officiall open their new indoor Stadium.

Oh, no trophy for Vålerenga.:( What a fantastic stadium you have there in Norway. I have always liked the way Scandinavians built their stadiums.

It's a indoor stadium. It's the new home for Stabæk who will play CLQ this autumn. VIF got he more important trophy, the cupgold, last year with 4-1 over Stabæk. Tho, Stabæk won the league championship after a stunner match with 6-2 over Vålerenga. We're going to Europe!

ÆRE VÆRE ENGA!

It was a well deserved win for Stabæk, and yes the stadium is really nice. But I don't like artifical fields though, but then again having regular gras inside is almost impossible and ridicolous expensive.

nor-rbk: I think Vålerenga have a great chance to surprise you on sunday. I think VIF is lucky to start away vs you. Hopefully we win or at least a draw so we can get a good start.

Every team has a great chance to surprise against us, we don't nearly have the quality players we had before, but even so everyone thinks we are favourites to win the league, but I'm almost sure we won't. And if VIF wins on Sunday, that wouldn't be any shock at all, not in my opinion at least.

You think Vålerenga can take home the championship this year? Or are you agree with me that our defence sucks?

No, I don't believe you will win the league, not with Andresen as manager. I actually think Lillestrøm will be very difficult to beat this year, but every year there are some teams surprising and other who disappoint.

Roji

Youth Team
That's true. LSK could be dangerous, but I have put them on play-off. Too many players imo. Martin Andresen have won the cup for us, and I think we can win the league with him. I know everyone hates him and never see the good things he do, because he are doing some great stuff as well. I like our new formation, with 4-2-3-1. It's perfect. Fredheim Holm, Mos and Dawda behind Moa. That is pure dangerous for the other teams. With Hæstad and Singh/Andresen right behind. Only the defence are scare the crap out of me.

I think it will be a tough match at Lerkendal Stadion. Both Rosenborg and Vålerenga are hoping to do a better season than last year. Rosenborg finished 5th and Vålerenga finished 10th. Both clubs will probably play Europa League. Rosenborg through Fair Play and Vålerenga through the Cup-gold last year.

Quote from UEFA.com:
Many attributed Stabæk's 2008 success to a miserable campaign for Norway's traditional titans – Rosenborg, SK Brann, Viking FK, Lillestrøm SK and Vålerenga IF all finished outside the top four. However, the expanded league will likely suit these wealthier clubs, with Rosenborg again tipped for the top. The Trondheim side warmed up for the big kick-off by defeating Viking 5-1 in Stavanger, with home coach Uwe Rösler warning: "Rosenborg are in a different league to us, in every department. I can't see anyone else winning the league if they carry on like that."

Well, you won and it was deserved. My team isn't in top shape yet, but it's not that dark either. We played well in defence, and the match wasn't a typical 3-0-match either, but you was effective.
