Good job by the US to win the harder of its two group matches. Unfortunately, Canada's shocking win over Costa Rica earlier today could mean the prize we get for finnishing first in the group is playing vs. Costa Rica (one of the top 3 CONCACAF teams) at the quarterfinals. :|

A few things:

- Beasley and Gibbs did not play. Beasley picked up an injury in training but I'm not sure about Gibbs, might just have been dropped in favor of Califf.

- Reyna played 60 minutes, good to see that

- McBride once again proves that whether you like him or not, he's still the most consistent scorer for the US national team

- anyone who actually watched the game, could you give an assessment of how the US played?

ya i was at the game triple header was great i just came back. I thought the us did everything could have also scored a few more times but el salvador was pretty weak. For Canada vs costa rica there was like no canada fans but they scored when they had one of their only chances and costa rica fooled around 2 much.
