I watched part of it but the second half was so boring I kind of zoned out and played on the computer. He wasn't really missed, Zusi and Mix were fine (Mix was a sub) but then again, it was Azerbaijan, and they didn't exactly look bothered.

I gave it a miss due to the level of opponent ... but is this talk of Aron Johannsson pipping Wondo for a starting spot purely based on getting on the scoresheet?

He seemed a bit more lively in general.

I'd much rather see Johannsson wear [and start at] #9 at the World Cup, so that's excuse enough for me ... Turkey on Sunday will be a more interesting test ...

Wondo is garbino. I can't imagine the US being successful with Jozy or Wondo up front. Where's Charlie Davies

Why wasn't Donovan selected? For a team like USA to not select him, he must have gotten pretty crap.

Does Juergen really not want the US to beat Germany? Also, if there's still a personal rift between JK and LD it's pretty stupid/unprofessional to not pick Donovan over that. It compromises the team's potential.

do you expect Green to be a major first teamer for Bayern?

It's possible the way Pep and the players talk about him. It wouldn't surprise me if someone leaves (Pizarro, Shaqiri) and is replaced in the first team with Green next season.

unless Twellman is right about "nerves" playing a part, Green looked very unconvincing in the half hour he got today ...

Out of his depth at this level, that's clear. He's no super phenom, I guess if he was he would be playing for Germany.

Timothy Chandler didn't show enough confidence to play the left back role. I believe Beasley will start against Ghana.

Chandler is only with us because Germany made it clear there wasn't a place for him in their national team, and that raises questions about how committed he is for me.

You would think he would try and prove how wrong they were, maybe time will tell.
