Im trying to learn about politics first, learn the facts, im taking a political science course. After i feel ive learned something then ill post my ideas. Everybody should do that. It annoys the hell out of me when people who have no idea what they're talking about start making political comments.

"Bush is an idiot, Vote Kerry!" "Kerry is a flip-flopper, Vote Bush!" shut the **** up!

i like your honesty but once you said he talked shit, i think you should've posted your views. i mean you just did something you disapprove, just like your last line says. you just wrote accusations with no explanations at all.

in this particular case, you should have explained why you think what he posted is shit.

I didn't really analyze the debate with my post, I just posting my opinion on it, which is different. If it makes me sound stupid in your books, so be it, see if I care. My personal opinion was/is that Kerry looked the stronger of the two in the debate and another one of my opinions is that Bush is an idiot which I don't think needs much explenation. If you don't agree with tha, that's fine.
I think it's safe to say that one doesn't need an extensive knowledge about politics to see that Bush is an incompetent moronic idiot.

yeah flyer, just shut up :p

Anyway, I have decided to go into business, making a new doll to rival the George Bush doll. You pull a string and it plays pre-recorded soundbites that I have culled from various low-end right-wing texts, lines like 'You are a feminazi, bitch', 'get the government out of my life', 'i hate the left', 'mandela is a blowhard', 'i am a libertarian but a pro-abortion president is alright'. If you hit the doll too hard, it spouts personal abuse.

I bring you.............

Stalin allowed priests to bless soldiers before battle. How is that anti-religious?

I promise you'll never hear the end of it if Bush loses (H)

That's okay, because he isn't going to lose. New polls coming out have him up by large numbers among likely voters, and the electoral college map is still in his control.

I already said if Bush loses I am leaving the SG forums, so keep your fingers crossed for a miracle.

And preach it Badnarik. I may not agree with all of his principles but at least he has them, unlike the flip-flopper in chief.

How can you say that with a straight face while supporting Kerry at the same time?

You are such a myrmidon.

Poll reveals world anger at Bush

Eight out of 10 countries favour Kerry for president

Alan Travis, home affairs editor
Friday October 15, 2004

George Bush has squandered a wealth of sympathy around the world towards America since September 11 with public opinion in 10 leading countries - including some of its closest allies - growing more hostile to the United States while he has been in office.

According to a survey, voters in eight out of the 10 countries, including Britain, want to see the Democrat challenger, John Kerry, defeat President Bush in next month's US presidential election.

The poll, conducted by 10 of the world's leading newspapers, including France's Le Monde, Japan's Asahi Shimbun, Canada's La Presse, the Sydney Morning Herald and the Guardian, also shows that on balance world opinion does not believe that the war in Iraq has made a positive contribution to the fight against terror.

The results show that in Australia, Britain, Canada, France, Japan, Spain and South Korea a majority of voters share a rejection of the Iraq invasion, contempt for the Bush administration, a growing hostility to the US and a not-too-strong endorsement of Mr Kerry. But they all make a clear distinction between this kind of anti-Americanism and expressing a dislike of American people. On average 68% of those polled say they have a favourable opinion of Americans.

The 10-country poll suggests that rarely has an American administration faced such isolation and lack of public support amongst its closest allies.

The only exceptions to this trend are the Israelis - who back Bush 2-1 over Kerry and see the US as their security umbrella - and the Russians who, despite their traditional anti-Americanism, recorded unexpectedly favourable attitudes towards the US in the survey conducted in the immediate aftermath of the Beslan tragedy.
------------------------------------------------

read the rest here.

and more here.

"A recent Pew Research Centre poll, for example, showed just 7% of Pakistanis approve of Mr Bush, while 65% have a favourable opinion of Osama bin Laden."

Elder, your time starts.... NOW!

Why should I care what the "world" thinks? Just as that polls shows support for Osama, I show no support for Pakistani's. Who cares??

The problem I have with the "world" is that in any pinch, they come running to the United States for military or monetary help... If the world hates the US so much, then maybe they can send back their aid packages, requests for troops to bail themselves out, and pay back all the money they owe us. That goes double for Europe.

I would rather see a very withdrawn role for the US in the world, which is very much in line with the Libertarian principles. I do part with the Libertarians when it comes to the war in Iraq, but it's very easy for a candidate, much like Kerry does now, to sit back after the war and criticise it like it was a huge mistake. I don't actually know if I am voting for the Libertarain candidate this year like I voted for Harry Browne the last time around... I might not cast a vote for the Presidential candidate at all, but for the local races instead. In Georgia we have many Libertarian candidates who could use some support and get quite a bit to be honest.

Point conceded. But if someone is a supporter of Bush, the "world" is crapping all over that person because of that hatred. I think it has more to do with ignorance than hatred though.

It seems to me the world needs someone to hate. It's too bad these people polled can't hate the dictators of the world who populate the UN just as much. That's why I don't take the world very seriously.

So now no one is allowed to disagree with someone's support of Bush? Why don't you just say supporting Kerry is "un-American."

Not when you have "hatred" of a person. If you hate Bush, then you should obviously hate anyone who supports him or his policies.

And why don't you stop with the stupid left wing buzz lines like "un-American." Just because I don't agree with Kerry doesn't mean I think he loves this country any less. Do I think he has a different idea of what America is and should be? Of course I do, but I am quite sure he is a patriot. A lying, flip flopping patriot, but a patriot nonetheless.

Gotta disagree. You cant hate someone just for their political views or for whom they support. At least you shouldnt.

Grunger, the right doesn't really believe all that garbage they spew about how anyone who opposes their policies is a vile hate monger. It's a strategy, like their lies about the so-called liberal media. They simply dismiss anyone who takes issue with the miserable failures of the Bush administration as a "hater" because it's easier than trying to account for the way they've hurt America. After all, why bother with the difficult task of explaining how you're the first president to lose jobs in 70 years, how hundreds of thousands sank into poverty and/or lost their health care under your policies, how you let the biggest terrorist attacks in our nation's history happen under your watch, how you let the perpetrator get away in the battle of Tora Bora, how you invaded a country with no justifcation, how you got more than a thousand American soldiers and innumerable Iraqi innocents killed in that invasion, how you caused the biggest deficit in the history of the country, etc. etc. . . .

. . . when you can spout brainless idiocies and non-sequiters like "You just hate Bush because of his smirk. And if you hate Bush you hate his supporters. And if you hate his supporters you hate AMERICA!"

Speaking of "liberal media", here is an interesting story from one of the nations top news anchors...

Here's a quote from one Peter Jennings.

"I'm a little concerned about this notion everybody wants us to be objective," Jennings said."

And another...

"And when we don't think we can be fully objective, to be fair," the anchorman said."
