As a proud Malaysian, I really do care and hope dat Malaysia did well in International level... aftr a slumb of almost 20 years, I think time have come to rectify the situations.. Current crop of young blood did fairly well and on the right track to be the South East Asia tiger once again (at least),, All they need are a continuous right development and experience with the right attitute....c'mon Malaysia!!!!

well..

as for the usa team, the team's developed into a powerhouse, at least regionally, and has a strong foundation to improve in the coming years. there are the usual seasoned vets like mcbride, mathis, friedel, reyna, keller, o'brien, pope, etc. but the us is starting to really develop its core of younger players like donovan, beasley, bocanegra, howard, etc. and these players will be called on and expected to carry the team for the next world cup. it's good to see that the usa team isn't just considered a pushover anymore.

as for my other team (i'm korean-american), the south korean team, i couldn't be anymore proud of what it did in the last world cup. hopefully it'll give the nation the confidence and rid itself of the inferiority complex it has against the typical big soccer countries. there is a growing contingent of players plying their trade in europe now, and the world cup squad minus a few players is very young still. hopefully this team will continue to improve and gain confidence, even though they haven't played too well in matches since the world cup.

I'm as a malaysian are not too happy with our FA organisasion......
I'm sure Malaysia got a very2 talented footballer but they are not choosen to play because they are from poor family or not educated.... If you go to any small villages and see the young player play, u'll not see Malaysia as a looser......

They only choose players that are educated and go to the sport school and that is really sick i think.....come to my area and see how many talent we have.....

Kinda true.. players are being pampered a lot nowadays.. but the current crop did fairly well and are no pushover in the region..But they have to instill patriosm themseves coz this is their responsibility..
Sometime I know me or some of my friends did play better than some of the National player who always getting picked everytime the squad announced..Pity to see some of my frens who are really skillful and talented with real heart only pining hope to feature at International level,, not playing in it.. Some of the Malaysia Premier League club player just snub their chance to don the National colour in order to prevent injuries that could forces them out from their club.. Dat is reality of Malaysia Football at the moment

- to qualify for World Cup 2006, taking 1st place in the final qualifying group AND to demonstrate dominance over Mexico in head-to-head matches

For Bulgaria:

- to reach at least the quarterfinals of EURO 2004
- to qualify for World Cup 2006
