Unexpected slowdowns in WE6...

i've been playing WE6 in the US now for a few days. the game, of course, is lovely!

however, i've been getting unexpected slowdowns during and before the match.

for example, if a yellow card is to be awarded for a bad tackle, the game freezes for about 20 seconds before the referee close-up is shown. the game then continues as before.

also, when the game is loading up and you can see the stadium and the lineups, sometimes the game takes MINUTES to load and begin play.

anyone have experience with this? i'm wondering if it's the CDR i used for backup. very odd and intermittent (and unwanted!).

ALSO, could someone forward the defensive control scheme in English (i.e. what buttons do what on defense). been looking in this forum and elsewhere, but can't find.

slowdowns

mine slows down but only during the game,sounds like your games dodgy.as for the buttons they are the same as pro evolution,apart from the defend + attack bar .to move this just twiddle about with the top buttons you will soon suss it.

probably a cdr problem

what brand of cdr did you use?

i had similar problems. long loading/saving times, the ps2 would make strange noises, and it would even freeze during the intro movie if i didn't skip it in time! so i got a 50 bundle of maxell 700mb/80mins discs and made a new backup and everything was sorted - the movie, loading/saving, nothing wrong works perfect now.

i would try making another backup, and if the problems are still there, then you should probably get a better quality cdr to make your backup. you won't regret it.
