Now let's watch Dana ruin 'Page by ridiculously overhyping and exposin' 'em.
Hmm I dunno man, it's hard to predict what Dana's plans with Rampage will be. The UFC has a habit of trying to promote the (white) all-American poster boy types like Rich Franklin and Matt Hughes, and judging by all the boo's that Rampage seems to get from the US crowds I dunno if he's exactly who Dana wants to see as champ. I know it seems stupid to you and me since Carlos*son is an amazing fighter and marketable as hell, but this new gen of TUF fans is weird, so who knows.. I find it a little odd that all of a sudden Shifty Henderson is 'Page's next title defence too.
I dunno if you've been keeping up on the rumours lately, but if you remember way back when the UFC/Pride deal was announced they assured us that Pride would continue to opporate as is, even under Zuffa ownership? Well, the latest news is that Dana is currently working on how to handle Pride's future and that an announcment will be made in the next couple weeks. Personally, my gut feeling is that the writing is on the wall and we've seen the last of Pride. Especially with big Nog, Henderson, Werdum, and Shogun, all recently being contracted by Zuffa....
It's sad to see Pride go, but I think I'd rather see it put out of it's misery than watch it go on as a shadow of what it once was, with all it's stars removed. It's too bad though, I been buying up some Pride DVD's (the Bushido tourneys are God's gift to MMA!) lately and the quality of the MMA combined with the overall entertainment value is second to none.
Keeping my fingers crossed that K-1 HERO'S steps in to fill the PrideFC void if it comes down to that.. sucks we get no SHOOTO coverage here in North America. I been trying to keep up on ICON Sport lately too out of Hawaii, they're one of the few MMA promotions left outside of Japan/Korea that still use full PrideFC based rules...which IMO were always superior to the UFC ruleset.

LOL@ Jardine's clownish stance....you're begging for brutal assrape with that ******* easily exploitable posture, man.
Yeah I have no idea what that monkey sh!t was that he was doing.. can't say I was tooooo surprised though to see him owned as I think the vast majority of the guys out of TUF are just over-hyped B-level fighters minus a couple exeptions. I was just surprised that it happened in such brutal fashion, and that it came from a newcomer. Apparently Jardine talked some sh!t before the fight too, saying that he deserved to be fighting a contender and not a lower calibre fighter making his debut.
Man, Alexander landed a couple vicious Mortal Kombat-like uppercuts. I don;t think I've ever seen anyone's feet actually get lifted off the ground from that outside of a video game. Watching Alexander fight really reminded me of the early UFC's especially with his relentless onslaught, it kinda made me think of a younger Tank Abbott and what he used to do back in the day.
