The V still on , as I said before I do not believe in all that nonsense.. but we drew Boavista. now that's one for all the superstitious among you. A we reminder ...........

The V theory is still on , Boavista won the penalty shootout !!

Celtic have beaten

FK Suduva .. Lith 8-1 2-0

Blackburn Rovers .. Eng 1-0 2-0

Celta Vigo .. Spa 1-0 1-2

VfB Stuttgard .. Ger 3-1 2-3

Liverpool .. Eng 1-1 2-0

As the theory goes , we have beaten teams with a V in there name. Now I think that is a load of Bull , but you never know???
Out of the teams that are left I think I would want Boavista anyway.. by the way! the Final is in Saville in Spain ooooooooh spooky another V

I would agree that Porto and Lazio are the 2 strongest teams left in the Uefa Cup , but as we have shown in Europe in the last few seasons we can beat anyone! Juve done us sorry the ref done us in Italy in the 2-2 game we beat them at Celtic Park and we beat all in our group at home and Valencia only just managed to nick it in the penalty shootout when we dropped into last years Uefa Cup. And look at the teams we have put out so far .. we have nothing to fear but fear itself as the saying goes! Will we win it who knows? But we will give it or best shot. We are the underdogs , Porto and Lazio are the bookmakers bets for lifting the Cup.

It's good to see that most of Europe still disregards Celtic's challenge. I think that every team they have played have under-estimated Celtic and have all paid the price. Really, only Celta Vigo came close to beating them.

I feared that Celtic may become complacent having been drawn against Boavista (probably the weaker of the other 3 teams) but Boavista will probably think they've gotten lucky being drawn against the Scottish side and will quite possibly be complacent themselves.

I think the real underdog here is Boavista. MightyTic doesn't even mention them and culo (can't believe you got away with that name :crazyboy: ) thinks Boavista will be complacent. Man, complacent is exactly what Boavista isn't! That's their strength: running and fighting to the end, no matter who's their opponent!

Anyway, a whole portuguese final would be a dream come true. Lets hope we're good enough. :)

You don't know Boavista...they never under-estimated any of their opposition.They are like manufactureres; they work very hard in every game and it's very,very hard to beat them. But , i guess, Celtic is favorite, but Boavista have much more technique.In the Boavista Squad are some Brazilians that give them the balance between "hard-workers" and "fine-engineers", and the "supersonic" Martelinho , sometimes, make a huge diference between victory and defeet...About FC Porto, i must say that only one team had the ability to "**** their arse"-Marítimo.
FC Porto are a very strong side, but,honestly, still a litlle behing the "big guns" of Europe...i should say that FC Porto is one of the "midle quality" teams in Europe, when i could include Lazio SS, Celtic,Rangers, Feyenoord,Greeks,Turks, midle Spanish and hight-midle English,Italians and Germans( but better than all French,Belgiums and Nordic big teams.

For me, the difference is the "weight" that the Italians have in this sort of chalenge;i mean international experience and good deeling on their fears and nerves of steele.

That's right! those guys are warriors, that's a combat teamno matter who's the opposition! If needed they play rough and hard! They make too many fouls and play at high speed!!

Anyway, back to the poll. I'm not a Lazio fan, but after what they've been through this season, it would be nice to see them win the UEFA Cup. Hope they face Celtic, that would be an awesome match. It would be REALLY NICE if the score line resemble the LIverpool - Alaves final!
