UEFA CL 08-09 First Knockout Round - Internazionale vs Manchester United

cmc211

Starting XI
Internzionale Milano - Manchester United

This match will start on February 24th 2009, Stadio Giuseppe Meazza(San Siro) - Milan - Italy.

This match has some issues.

1. Jinx will continue?
After Real Madrid won UEFA CL 01-02, Every depending champions failed on first knockout round. When Liverpool won Champions League in 2004/2005 season, Liverpool ended season as #5 so they couldn't go to CL but they started from 1st qualification stage. Liverpool was defeated by Benfica at 05/06 season in first knockout stage. Barcelona was defeated by Chelsea in first knockout round in 06/07. Also AC Milan was defeated by Arsenal in San Siro and they eliminated in first knockout stage. Will this jinx continue?

2. Ferguson vs Mourinho
In Mourinho's success in Porto, He beat Manchester United in first knockout stage and Porto won CL at that season.
After Mourinho went to Chelsea, jinx still continued, Ferguson only won only once, draw 5 times and lose 6 times. In 05/06 season, He got terribel defeat(3-0 lose on Stamford Bridge)too. Also they fought on media by their mouth too :D

3. Defence vs Defence
They are both on top of the table and both of them score most goal in their league and concede less goals. Also Edwin Van der Sar has magnificent record of not conceding goal for 1300 minutes. It is the 2nd of european record. Both has great defenders too.

4. Problems and etc
Inter should win at here because Man Utd's home record is perfect this season(13-1-0). Man Utd need to defence more and concentrate on 2nd match.
Vidic will not be on this match because of card. Evans also has some injury so John O'Shea will be important here. Rooney will be back on this match.

Rebirth of Adriano will be alpha to Inter and Ibrahimovic & Maicon will be important. I think if whether who wins, there wouldn't be lots of goals.

What will be the result?
I hope to finish as 0-0 for Man Utd though.

I think Inter will be strong tonight and get a one-goal-win. However, I think and hope Utd will advance.

I'm guessing a draw.

If United get a goal today I think they will go through for sure because I don't see Inter winning in England

Yeah, that's what I'm saying. United are essentially unbeatable at Old Trafford.

If United wins today, Inter may as well not even make the trip to England.

What a joke. Is Giggs really that bad with his right foot? There's no excuse for taking a left footed shot from that horrible angle instead of cutting in slightly and shooting with the right.

cant believe we are not at least a goal up. Inter have been disappointing so far. Hopefully the missed chances dont come back to bite us.

Should be at least one goal up. We've been very wasteful in front of goal. It'd be dissappoinitng if we don't win this game.

Berbatov was totally **** upfront slow lardass and pure just sucks also he could've made much much much better passes then he did he was just garbage dont know why fergie started his dumbass instead of rooney or tevez whoa re much better. Man U should just sell him already or make him a backup as he should be. he's slow he's lazy and just all around ****.

Also i love how rooney got yellow carded for inter player fouling him. Ref made decision for FK against Rooney based on rooney's reputation and not on what he saw which is bad reffing and ontop that the stupid moron who tackled rooney not other way around faking an injury just bloody disgraceful.

Inter are lucky to have the gk they have cause they should've been down 6 goals. Though inter did improve big time in begging of 2nd half.

New record...22 matches unbeaten in CL.

i think the old record was 19 held by Ajax and Bayern Munich. and we broke it with 20th game in row unbeaten it shed it at bottom of screen during match on ESPN 2 i could be wrong though either way Man U broke the record.
