FC Porto return to the venue and the team where last season, as UEFA Champions League holders, they relinquished their crown in a 3-1 loss at FC Internazionale Milano. The Portuguese club took a measure of revenge with a fine 2-0 win against Inter on Matchday 3 and, again like last season, are now showing strong signs of making a recovery after a stuttering start to their group campaign.

Previous meeting
• Porto were eliminated in the last 16 of the competition in 2004/05 in the first meeting between the clubs.

• The first leg in Porto was drawn 1-1 with Obafemi Martins giving Inter a 24th-minute lead before Ricardo Costa equalised just after the hour. Inter's Adriano struck a hat-trick in the return leg, with Jorge Costa registering for Porto in the 69th minute.

Fine home record
• Inter have a fine home record against Portuguese clubs in UEFA competition. Of seven previous matches, the Italian club have won six and drawn one, and scored 17 goals with five conceded. The only time Inter were denied a home win was by Porto's neighbours Boavista FC in the 1991/92 UEFA Cup first round. Boavista forced a scoreless draw to win the tie 2-1 on aggregate.

I'm expecting nothing but a win out of this game. Adriano has said himself he's been in poor form and is ready to get back to top shape, and this would be the perfect game to show his true ability.

We might have a chance of winning this game since it'll be played in an empty stadium and Adriano is not at his best, still i think a draw wouldn't be a bad result in case Artmedia and Rangers tie again... i hope we can make a good game and get the 3 points, even knowing that will be extremely difficult... C'mon Porto, this is a though game but we need to win this one!

That will probably be the best lineup for today's game but i think Diego should have a chance today since a #10 can make the difference, still i have to admit our midfield will be much more solid with those players... let's wait to see what it'll be Adriaanse's choice.

We got to at least get a point tonight. If we play defensively we'll lose, because we don't know how to do it. If we push Inter to its own half and take 1/5 of our goal chances we can get away with a win here. If there's a good time to beat Inter it's now.

I don't understand the obsession with Adriano-Martins. It just doesn't work. Recoba should start alongside Adriano.

Inter will struggle.
