Overall in both legs...yes they did have more shots but Barca had more possession which leads to trying to build a play and not just a boring old fashioned volley.

Whats the point of having all the possession but not creating anything? All the possession they had was useless since they weren't creating anything. Football is to create and score. Not having most possession.

yeah, Essien's goal was a real old fashioned volley. Bored me to death.

But they tried. It's easy to just kick the ball anywhere beyond the midfield and hope your forwards might get lucky. Yeah it worked for Chelsea but it is boring for a neutral fan (me). Barcelona tried to play entertaining football. Chelsea didn't. That's all that concerns me, therefor I'm glad Barcelona made it through.

Considering it came from a rebound I think it was a lucky goal. Not his shot but the circumstance. It didn't generate from a well constructed play. However it was a great goal anyway.

I've read about 75% of this thread and I puked a little in my mouth...that is how bad it has been to read.

First and for most...the barca fans on this forum are giving their RESPECTED CLUB a really bad name...Be humble in victory

Please stop giving yourselves a bad name please its really hurting me how two/three people can really make you hate a club that plays the game the way its supposed to.

Anyways my view of the game, whatever it is worth lol:

Chelsea were robbed hands down, no doubt about it

Barca fans on here are defending themselves through the non-call on Henry in the first leg...yet if that is a penalty than the foul on DROGBA IS A PENALTY. seriously

The foul on Malouda was a little iffy if the foul started outside or inside the box...I think its a penalty he was 100% in the box when he got taken down.

Handball on Pique = penalty how anybody even defends this not being a penalty is baffling me. I do not care if his arm was there unintentionally or not it was sticking out and blocked a shot/cross

Foul in the box on Drogba=same as foul on Henry Barca fans are saying was a robbery=penalty. There was a tug/grab of teh jersey and a trip, what more can u ask for in a penalty

Now the last handball. Although it was very close to the shoulder it still hit Eto'o in the arm, the top of the arm yes but still hit the arm, his arms were stretched out and blocked the shot/cross...tough call but a penalty..ITS IN THE RULES

I dont care how much possession you had...it lead to nothing until the last minutes

You count all the scoring chances over the two legs, Chelsea had clearly a lot more.

Nobody can fault Chelsea for playing defensively and on teh counter attack...it would be suicide not to be cautious considering how Barca can dismantle anybody (ie Real Madrid)

Anyways I do not hate Barcalona, infact I wanted them in the final as another Chelsea-Man Utd would not excite me at all after the game last season...but not like this

Anyways hopefully the best team wins on May 27 and not the refs

It should be a great final...but i expect Man Ud to play exactly the same as Chelsea played today...so dont expect any different

Anyways I still RESPECT THE CLUB AND INSTITUTION THAT BARCALONA IS, despite of some of teh fans on this forum (albeit their are some god ones :)) and thus I hope you guys win the final

this pretty much sums up your post... everything else was fine until this predictible comment, which i been reading all over around.

anyways , yes, barcas possesion didnt lead to almost nothing, and yes chelsea's tactic to put the bus is a 100% valid, but let me tell you this, and what i mention in my last post, what did chelsea do to deserve to be in the final other than speculate in both legs... you guys say chelsea had slighty more shots, but they ended in nothing too...so thats it???, its like looking all of this in a balance, so if you ask me, either team deserved to be in the final. but in the end, and i have mention this on other forums before the second leg, is that chelsea could really pay not trying to score in barcelona .... i mean its a non brainer chelsea speculate they could put the bus and hold barca, and for 90 minutes they tought they did, but all comes with risks, cause this is football, and it isnt over to the fat lady sings.... and this is why barca is the deserved finalist, cause they believed in themselves and never stoped, and for a while chelsea tought they had the cat in the bag.

You know whats honorable? Humbleness in defeat. Humbleness in victory is even more honorable. But all i read is stupid comments and **** you´s and shut ups by ******* retards like The****Lawn and Arnau. Get a life.

Hans

How big is YOUR penis?
Stupid Chelsea, now we gotta face the current "Chuck Norris" of football...

****....

And yeah, Drogba acted like a genuine he-bitch... His team got one man advantage and a goal but still played like pussies by not pressing Barca, Chelsea deserves what's coming... What the **** happened to Guus' total football? Man is crap at club level except in the Dutch Leage.

Ref should've given a penalty for a foul by Alves on Malouda on the first half. About the other claims, bull. And Barcelona got robbed on the first match anyway, so it's all even. Anyway, seeing that bunch of divers/cry-babies getting eliminated in such a heartbreaking way made my day.

Exactly how where barca robbed in the first match??? Or did they have 4 penalty appeals that I missed.

What a game. Against all odds Barca pulls off a heroic comeback.

Errmmmm... no, they got 1 goal which is all they needed.if it had been 2 or 3, then yeah that would be heroic

So you expect us to go out at their backyard and play our normal game and attack just to be ripped apart to shreds like Bayern?
Barca ain't just any team, man.

Liverpool tried this and they won in Camp Nou. But another example could be Bayern or OL. It depends of the way they understand football, and basing on Hiddink's performances none can say he is not a very very good coach.

Congrats for the idiots who were saying after the 1st leg "Hiddink is master, Pep still a newbie" : Hiddink is going back sad to Russia while Pep is in the final + champions of LaLiga + final of the cup.

Don't blame the referee guys, he's Norwegian, he doesn't know better. Anyone remember Terje Hauge from the 2006(?) final... :(

Damn, Norwegian refs sucks, they are aweful in the domestic league as well.

I remember this bastard gave an inexistent penalty for Romania at EURO 2008 vs Italy. Too bad Mutu missed it.

I think it's about a mondial refereeing chrysis. This one last night was paralel with the match, the other one in 1st leg was better but also missed some important things.

Honestly, Chelsea have plenty of reasons to complain about the second leg, the ref was horrible. Except for the red card. But the ref robbed Barça in the first leg as well.

With a decent ref in the first leg, Ballack red card + a penalty. The second leg would have been a hell of a lot easier for Barça.

The refs were bad for both.

Checking the stats on UEFA.com... Shots on goal: Barça 7, Chelsea 5 (6-1 and 4-1). Though it's true that Drogba missed the best chances.

Cech in the first leg, Valdes in the second leg. Then 2 great goals. That was the semifinal. Chelsea played their physical game and Barça struggled for 180 minutes to score a goal.

When everything was almost done, Chelsea couldn't hold Barça, 11 vs 10, with one goal advantage and 25 minutes left. They can blame the ref, but that was not the reason why they're out.

At the Camp Nou Chelsea played only to stop Barça and nothing else. Then the away goals costed them.

I think Drogba was so mad because he missed some great chances and he needed to blame someone else for his own mistakes.

anyways glad to have barca in the final ...
hope we win..shall be one hell of a game...

If were gonna sit here and talk about poor desicions, and possibly bias or not, but did any notice that Iniesta didn't get booked for ripping his shirt off???

Hey man i was just rooting for bookings all over the place (H) haha

But seriously.... what a friggin controversial game. I honestly thought ballack was going to jump on and beat the studs out of that referee at the end. Should chelsea of had a penalty in that game? Probably.... Should drogba have finished that one on one chance on victor valdes? Absolutely.

Buti, stop defending your team, for god's sake, for every reply.

Yes, Barca has gone through to Rome. Be humble for God's sake.:icon_spin:

Let me reveal this here, I have lost my love for Barca because of arrogant Barca fans like bybuti, dytza and arnau.

Xifio, Jaakko and argvega seem to be the more humble and practical from your lot.
