UCL 1/4 Final - Arsenal vs Juventus [P+R]

God this makes me laugh. The following text was taken from the official Juventus website , "their" take on the match is rather amusing , in particular the first line....

Whilst the result may be flattering to the Gunners , the bianconeri coach nonetheless gave them credit: “Arsenal played some great football; we were able to create 2 or 3 chances but Tourè was fantastic…up until four minutes from the end of the first half the game was even, but obviously when a team like Arsenal shut-you-out it’s difficult to find space, and they are great on the counter-attack. The fact that they have had ten days rest also gave them something extra.”

Gilberto was asking for a fight with Zlatan as well.

After Zlatan had pushed him in the penalty area, Gilberto pointed at him, and it looked like he said "me and you" and he pointed to the middle of the court (probably meaning they should take it on the pitch) ;)

Jeesh, Juve . . . :(

Gotta hand it to that young Spaniard. He and Hleb owned the midfield last night. OMG, how good would Cesc be ? :| And I can't believe that someone actually said that Hleb lost the ball a few times. He is a freakin' midfielder, losing the ball is part of the job for God's sake, at least he was being very efficient and effective.

****, somebody stop these arse gooners or I'm gonna go berserk . . . :kader:

Man, dont look there. It's the worst club website ever.

Just like Arsenal.com btw, who put Montero as a key player in their match preview, lol.

That was quite unexpected, a 2-0. It's still open, but it will be tough for Juve. Cant say i'm not happy about it aswell. (6)

theres still the game in italy.

Yeah, I'm just putting some bulletin board material out there for the Juve fans just in case we get hammered on the return leg so they can burn me with it...hehe. :)

That attached picture is also significant to the cocky remark I made because that guy in that pic is a basketball player who's had trouble getting past the first rnd of the NBA playoffs (just like our inability to get past the quarters) and a couple years ago, his team had their opponents on the ropes just like we do right now with Juve and he made some bigheaded comment like "It's nice to experience the second rnd of the plays finally after having been eliminated three other times in the first rnd" before the series was finished. Anyway, he went on to lose something like the next 3-4 games in a row and was shamed like a failed child actor who's now doing gay porn to make ends meat when his team was yet again booted from the first rnd of the playoffs.

Congratulations Arsenal, you've almost made it to the semi finals.
Though there is the game in Torino too...

Oh who the **** am I kidding? With an audience of 15,000 people at max how can your players be motivated on an important match like that? That without speaking about some players that go on the pitch just to keep their physical condition good (Zebina, Vieira & Ibra sometimes, like last night). If a player isn't motivated you don't friggin' put him on the pitch, that's it, end of story. Cannavaro, Thuram, Emerson, Mutu or Zambrotta each made as much effort last night as the three mentioned up there put togheter, I swear the only times I saw Vieira he was on the ground after losing a ball or just falling like that. Maybe if some of the fans can organise and gather up to make a decent audience at the match and if Capello knows how to motivate the players then maybe we'll stand a chance in the second leg. But with something like last night... :nape:.

I was talking the average Juve attendance, not about the Highbury crowd.
But you get the point anyway.

yep i agree with that.. i'm really happy with arsenal at the moment, we've got young players, in a year or two, if things progress the way they are at the moment, we'll be the galactikids again lol
