Everything here (Charlotte, NC) closes when we get the slightest dusting.

You shouldn't have school if it's like you say, then again, they don't close up north often.

please my good sir

up here in good ol ka-nah-dah, specifically in my city, we had this one storm that lasted about a day, barried streets, cars, and an assortment of other things, this onslaught led to what was known as the flood of the century(hint to where i live) back in 97

the day after the storm we had no school

but for your sake i hope school gets cancelled

Help?

Snow is not falling, but it's freezing as hell up here 100km away from Toronto. And it's all because of the stupid wind, hate it.

God, it must be so awesome to live in a place where the winters are actually white. It hasn't snowed in Holland for ages. I remember me playing as a little kid in the snow, ice skating as well, but it's been years ago... snow rules.

Do you guys live near ski resorts as well? It must be so cool to grab your snowboard after school, work or whatever and take have some major fun hours on the slopes...

Due to climate change (thank you America) :p British winters aren't what they used to be. During the 50/60's we used to get snow as high as 5ft every winter. Now we are lucky to get a few inches every year.

Well, it's only white for the first few hours, then it begins to turn into a dark brown slush :p

As for resorts, I dont really live close to one, but I live almost in the middle of Toronto, so there's not really a ski resort down the street or anything lol.

Living in a tropical country means never ever having a snowy Christmas. :(

And because of a shift in the academic calendar, i am going to school during Christmas for the first time in my life. :kader: :(

Ive been in vacs for 4 months now :| :S :S :S

Its ******* hot in here...
35C :S

I do not imagine myself in that kind of weather..(cold)

-5C is the coldest I've been...

There are 2 ski resorts about an hour away, infortunately i've never gone, i'v ewanted to, but my parents never took me. Snow days are the best b/c you go from being low from thinking you have school, then when you wake up you don't, it's really cool. One time actually, I was at my bus stop standing in the freezing cold for almost 10 minutes, come to find out that school was closed.
