Am I right in thinking that this year there will only be five turfs? It's nice that we can choose turfs this year as some of the previous turfs have been a bit gaudy - some even seem to lower the frame rate on my PC - and I've tended to avoid playing with stadia allied to these. If, however, this reduces the overall number of turfs it will be a step backward. After all, from most camera angles, the turf is what mainly fills the screen.
More generally, it seems that a number of features are diminished this year - the low number of stadia and the more limited kit editing. I recall the year that Fifa only had 5 stadiums after featuring a relative glut the year before and wondered why they made such a silly move. My feelings about this are similar and my only hope is that as Konami obtain more and more licenses, they don't feel the need to drop the generous editing features.
Anyhow - news about the game's release looks good, though here in the UK this may be offset by the Post Office clearing their backlog.
