i agree with all of your last paragraph, heskey was good and so was Dudek, and Riise. But i personally think Diouf played really well, he really is suited to that Right Midfield, this is just my opnion obviously but i honeslty did think he played well, good TEAMwork as well-for once. He just spoilt it all at end.

All entitled to our opinions though

Oh yeah certainly. I have my opinions and you have yours. I have to respect that.

I still don't think Diouf is the man for the job. You need somebody like McManaman who is willing to run at defenders. I think McManaman could be persuaded back to Anfield certainly. Diouf was a gamble, Cheyrou too, they are not cut out for the premiership, I think they would fit into the Italian rather well.

YEah, they would be good in Italy! lol

Diouf does run at players, he just played more of a team role today, which is fine in my view cos he defended well. Mcmanaman is class but they wouldnt be able to sign him. I dont rate Cheryou at all, he has a bit of skill but he is sooooo weak! He really isnt cut out for the English game, maybe not even the italian! lol

TROD. Very slow player as well, needs so much time.

Cheyrou would be taught to just go down and make a meal of a shoulder barge though. He would also be taught to play for fouls and delay the game so his team can control the pace of the game which Inter did the other night and that realy pissed me off.

I think Riise is better suited to midfield. Tonight he showed how he can run at defenders, and we all know how good he can hit them. Houllier should drop owen into a forward. Purchase another striker and play with Heskey and another striker. Owen is not the tallest and if you are going to use the wings, he is no good to you in the box. He's fast, skillful, can run at defenders, but he lacks strength what a striker needs. If Owen played like Henry, you would no doubt be top of the table. A playmaker is certainly first priority though in my opinion.

Complely agree, ive been saying that for ages, you look at Owens best parts of his game, its running at defenders; why not put him in an advanced midfield role and get him to run at them, a bit Paulo DiCanio style, hes be class, or like you say; Henry. I think we all knew how good Riise is, everyone knows hed be better suited to midfield but then you have the problem of who you put into LB, i dont like Trarore but i suppose it might be him.

Only problem with what you said is purchasing another striker, i very much doubt that Liverpool have the money to. IF so, then they need a powerful striker who is a proven goal scorer, possibly someone with a BIT of experience under their belt, but not too old.

Heskey and Baros are the only peeps I can think of. Batistuta is moving to England this summer and he will be on a free transfer. He would be perfect for the role. Don't you think?

English football is a way lot more slower paced than Serie A. All the worlds stars play in Italy and Spain which undermimes there true talent which is a bit harsh on them. I think it is well worth a go, especially on free transfer. And linking up with players such as Murphy, Owen, and Heskey, he should do well. Heskey is criticised too much though. Houllier should never have made him lose weight. All the same though, he is a major asset to Owen. I can see Amerobi being in an England shirt soon though. The guy is magic, proved himself at CL level too. IMO, much better than Rooney.

Anyways, off Liverpool for a minute, 4 Man U players are set to be sold at the end of the season. The strongest rumour is Giggs straight swap for Recoba. Imagine Recoba linking up with Veron and RvN!!!
