Transfer Help! Nobody will sign!

Hello all. I just finished my first season as Chelsea, where I won the League by 1 clear point, and I also obtained the Division 1 cup. I thought I would tighten up my defence a bit, so offered contracts to Ashley Cole, Puyol, and Zambrotta. After they rejected twice, I quadrupled the asking transfer price and the players salary. They still won't come!

There are only 2 transfer weeks left and I would like to sign at least one of these players. Can anybody help me out? Transfer difficulty is on lowest setting, by the way.

Yea the transfer system is crap, on the PS2, the more you won the less chance you had of signing a player.

Me and my cousin was top of WEFA for 4 season on the trot, won the league everytime and won the league everytime except one time.

And we had to save it before the transfer period and spend about an hour getting some players, it really is pure and utter disgraceful.

Tip: Save your game before seeing if the transfer goes through. If it fails load the saved game and try again. Eventually he will accept whatever offer you made.

its a good transfer system because your not really chelsea in the master league therefore you cant attract big players until ur in the top league! wen in the negotiation press left or right and it shows stars beside the players name 3 stars mean u will prob sign the player 0 means u prob wont!

Though the stars won't show on 5 or 6 stars, which is weird. Shouldn't you be able to know if the player is interested or not? In real life you can discuss with the player, and ask him if his interested. So in that point of view it's stupid that you can't see the "interest stars" on higher levels..

never noticed dat m8! i usually played my master league on 4 stars!

the transfersystem in Pes definetly lacks quality..
what i hate too is that you can only offer a player a new contract when his old one has finished

Well, I don't have any big problems with buying players. Obviously I buy players who are more available, 'cause I haven't bought any Ronaldos or Zidanes during Master League. I think it's only a good thing that you cannot buy the superstar players with pocket money. You have to really pay for them.

@sTaD: Use quick search in the negotiation menu. It finds you couple of players who are interested in coming to your team etc. At least quick search is described like that. Though there aren't always any good players so.. Just keep on trying, and as someone said already before: save your game in the beginning of transfer period, and load the game if you didn't get the players you wanted.

Ok sorry for bringing an old post back up, but i'm playing master league in 5 stars and in my first season, I am trying to sign Park Ji Sung, his normal transfer is 2000 and his estimated salary is like 200 or something, i offered 54,000 and 3000 salary and a 5 year contract, he won't sign,....anyone help? Seriously, 54,000 for a 2000 player.....and he won't sign, anyone have any tips?

well you could cheat the system if you want him that bad.

only works in offseason, not midseason negotiations:

check your calendar and see when the last negotiations are. If you're still at the beginning of the neg. period, you're fine. What you do is go to General settings, put the stars difficulty to 1star, sign all the players you want ( they will sign most likely ) and then right before the last neg. period, switch back to whatever star you were on. I used to do this, but not anymore as I find it more challenging and realistic to do the other way, but I know how it is to want a player really bad. good luck.

I play the ps2 onm master league,damn it , i wanna buy gerrard................i offer them damn lot of money, salary 1600 but still breakdown
