Tournament crashes

Hello, I created a tournament using the "create tournament" option in FIFA 07, with existing teams (I edited them in CM07 though). So the first two matches everything went well, then FIFA crashed (just a 'regular' crash I believe), then when I open FIFA again and load the tournament, FIFA crashes every time I try to play the third match.

Does anybody know what is wrong? Please help!

Edited to add: I just found out that it doesn't only crash when I try to play this game, it crashes when I try to play any game (kickoff mode too)... I can't play anymore. Can anyone please help?

Try deleting the FIFA 07 file in your "My documents" folder. Its a profile and could be causing your crash if it's trying to load a crashed tournament.

I had this problem after editing the CEP a while back. delete the profile and see if it works!

You may not necesarilly remove the files in "My Documents" folder. You can simply crete a new profile. But, as you wish...

Thanks for the help guys, but if I understand correctly, if I do this the tournament will be lost? Isn't there any way to retrieve my tournament?

Nevermind, I solved the problem. After some trying, it became clear that the game only crashed when I tried to play with Ajax. So I went to CM07 to see what was wrong. Apparently I had cloned Kenneth Vermeer, so there were now two of him, thereby giving Ajax one player too many. So I just released one of them and now everything is fine. Unfortunately, the tournament is now necessarily lost because I used CM07 to make changes. Luckily it's not too bad, as I was only two games into the tournament...

There is still something strange though. There were two copies of Kenneth Vermeer on the Ajax roster, however there is still only one in the player list. What's wrong here?
