What really pisses me off about the name is that stupid american commentators will say the FC every time they refer to the team . They don't understand that the FC is just an add on and doesn't need to be said every time. You don't hear Europeans call their teams Real Madrid CF or Chelsea FC or FC Internationale Milano, american commentators unfortunately don't understand that (among other things relating to soccer) and kill us by saying FC Dallas every single time they talk about that team...

That's all they were talking about today on the radio segment they did on the annoucement. "What's FC?" "It stands for football club." "Football Club? It should be Soccer Club." etc etc. Pissed me off so much.

I cant watch ESPN simply because of the commentators, american football commentators piss me off they have no idea what they are talking about, ESPN's coverage is also sh!t, worst picture quality Argghhhh..

Haha yeah that really is annoying. Along with everything else they say. American commentators don't know how to call a game after all these years.

It's not that commentators don't know how to say these names, they just Americanize them because, well, we're in America.

It can be annoying sometimes, but it's not a big deal. Some of these "American" commentators are originally from European countries (Rongen, Hudson & others) or have played professionally in Europe (Harkes, Wynalda & others). I agree there's a couple of Dave O'Brien types who are just clueless, but they're in the minority.

Im so psyched for this team guys, lets make this the best suported team in the MLS (besides Chivas USA I mean :s)

Rumour has it that we're drafting soon and that we're going to pick up the best of the U20 players that have no clubs and from the USL (Canadians) to start things off.

My first vote for players that I WANT:
Sutton GK (Montreal Impact)- he's awesome.
Dwayne DeRosario (U never know)

Chivas USA is a joke. They barely fill up half the Home Depot Center. I have a feeling that comment was sarcastic though so I won't go further.

But for the first half of the season, they were 100% packed most of the time.

2) Josh SImpson (I think he's at Millwall <sp?>), I like this player.
3) Dwayne De Rosario (obvious)
4) Stalteri (when he's all washed up )
5) KEVIN F'N MACKEENA (Former HEarts of Midlothian strong defender and Captain of Canada, He's old now but can still do well <impressed in the Gold Cup>)
