That's how exactly how I feel. I was not born in the US. When I became a US citizen, I feel a sense of loyalty to the US. I may not like what the US government is doing and some of its foreign policy, but I don't hate the US. There is a difference between the people of the country and its government. Do I hate all Iraq people because of Sadam Hussein? NO.
About the Mexican thing. I should have been more descriptive. What I should have said was that it is OK to cheer for your country of birth. I don't have a problem with Mexicans who lives in the US cheering for MEXICO. But don't throws urine bags at the US fans and its players. After all, you are in the US because you can get better paying jobs here. Have some respect.

I admit that there are a few teams I don't like, but TEN OF THEM?? You must have loads of negativity in your lives if you come up with that many teams to hate...
But anyway, my list is short...
Tottenham (Hey, I'm an Arsenal fan!)
Jamaican National Team (always play dirty when every time the US play them)
Mexican National Team ( Our Main Concacaf rivals)
As an Arsenal and Inter fan, you guys probably expected me to mention Man U and AC Milan. But the thing is, I don't hate them. They are both very worthy opponents and loads of fun to watch. Hey, I love to watch awesome goals as much as the next guy, no matter WHO scores them...as long as those awesome goals aren't scored against Arsenal or Inter!!
But anyway, my list is short...

He actually said he hated the US national soccer team. I actually got riled about this with JTNY a while back when he said he preferred the Azzuri to Australia, but I felt I had to make the distinction, IranianAmir said he hated the US national soccer team, not US citizens.

what are you talking about ? we're talking about football teams, not countries, it's not because you hat a country's team that you hate the actual country...look i choose france as the top of my list, do you seriously think i would change it if i had lived 10 years in france ? no way ! we're talking about football here, i hate the french national team, not the french people (well some of them who can't stop boasting they're the best

France are a top team and so many opposing teams will hate em.....
but why USA ?? they are not even a top 10 team .....

hell i would still hate france even if they were dead last...it has nothing to do with they're a top team, a few years back they were **** and i still hated them...

I would have to agree with IceBlu on this one. IranAmir hate of the US national team is a political one. Don't ask me how I know it. I just have a hunch. The US is NOT a football power house. Don't believe in that FIFA ranking. The US does not play dirty nor is it appealing to watch. I believe he hates the US because of the US and Iran tension.

It happens in European countries as well, most people only put the magnifying glass in South America because we are South Americans (and don't say it isn't so, because it is).
And none of them are uncivilized, they're fanatical, it's a huge difference. The fact that many people state that we are uncivilized shows you've never set foot in Uruguay or South America or that they hardly know anything about us (and I'm not talking about football).

Just to clear things up. I hate the U.S SOCCER team. not the U.S. So calm the F*ck down Iceblu and V-9, no reason freak out because i dont like a TEAM! If I hated this country, why the hell would I live here? They bore me and its not a political reason either. I just dont find them fun to watch. Oh wait, it has to be about the tension between the U.S and Iran........Next time ask before you presume. Thank you Zepenguin for sticking up for me man.
