Tools Or Tutorials For How To Edit Commentary Sounds!!!

I want to make a Greek commentary patch but I don't
have the right tools, tutorials and stuff like that...

mmm. i can find Commentary Master 2006 there but i found an app that can extract all the commentary files that there are in dat_eng.big. but these files are ".dat" i will find now an app to open these files and then i think it will be easy to change them!

My friend Rinaldo I allready found your "Commentary Master" program
but it works only with "FIFA 2005".
I read the help file and I understood what your program doing!!!
I have to say that you did very very nice job!!!
But you know what??? If I wait you to make the 2006 version, will pass a long
time and the problem is that I want to make a new commentary from the
start. A Greek one. You understand that I should replace all this sounds one
by one and I think it will take me a long time. So, I should start doing that as
soon as posible if I want to finish it before October...
So, plz if you have any tutorials or other stuff about how to do this send
them to me... I should start shortly!!!

ανακάλυψα κάτι συμαντικό!!
1) θα χρειαστείς το πρόγραμμα biggui για να αποσυμπίέσεις το αρχείο dat_eng.big που υπάρχει στον φάκελο CProgram Files\EA SPORTS\FIFA 06 Demo\data\audio. δηλάδη θα το ανοίξεις με αυτο το πρόγραμμα και θα τα κάνεις όλα τα αρχεία "dat" extract σε ένα πρόχειρο φάκελο (πχ στον φάκελο cfifa_temp)

2)απο τον φάκελο του Commentary Master 2005 θα βρείς ένα αρχείο που λέγεται "sx.exe". πάρτο και βάλτο στον φάκελο cfifa_temp εκέι που θα υπάρχουν και τα άλλα αρχεία ήχου (dat)

3)τρέξε το "Γραμμή εντολών" απο το έναρξη>προγράμματα>βοηθήματα

4)τώρα γράψε τα εξής:
CD\ (enter)
CD fifa_temp (enter)
SX -WAVE XXXXXX.dat -=XXXXXX.WAV (enter)
όπου XXXXXX θα βάλεις το όνομα του αρχείου ήχου "dat" που θές να μετατρέψεις

5)θα εμφανιστεί στον φάκελο ενα αρχείο ήχου .wav που εάν το τρέξεις θα ακούσεις τον αντίστοιχο ήχο του σχολιαστή ωστε να καταλάβεις τι λεει αυτός και μετά να διμηουργήσεις εσύ εναν ήχο στα ελληνικά με ηχογράφηση και να το αντικαταστήσεις.

το πρόβλημα μου μόνο είναι πώς θα το ξαναμετατρέψω σε αρχείο dat ώστε μετα να το κάνω πάλι import στο αρχείο dat_eng.big

Rinaldo i used the sx.exe from the folder Commentary Master 2005 and with this line
SX -WAVE XXXXXX.dat -=XXXXXX.WAV i tried to convert the files!!!

but please can you tell me how to convert the wav files to dat???

Well, I'm sorry to disappoint you, but it'll probably take more then two weeks, because it's two weeks to the release of FIFA 06, and I don't think Rinaldo makes his (excellent) tool that fast, he can release it hours after he got the game...

And why? Because there is no Commentary-editing program right here, right now! It doesn't mather when you need it, because I don't think Rinaldo makes his program sooner just because of one person, who doesn't want to play FIFA without Greek commentary...

Man, you're like a baby, crying for candy...

What are you using to play the .dat files? or how are you converting them?

you will need to take the SX.exe file from the "COMMENTARY MASTER 2005" and take this file in your folder with your "DAT" files and then you must type this in the command prompt (DOS)

SX -dat *.wav -=*.dat

it's nice to see so much interest about Commentary Master. About the release date of 2006 version I really think I will need some weeks after the game has been relesed to update the version. Nevertheless you could start using Commentary Master 2005 for the 2006 Demo if you follow these instructions:

1) Export from the audio.big file the hdr_eng.big using bigGUI

2) Run commentary master 2005 and open hdr_eng.big as header file and dat_eng.big as dat file.

3) Now you can start to modify the speech but pay attention because the naming convention for the speech with the player name is changed and therefore you cannot use the player's function safely, you will get errors if you try. But you can change other speech.

4) After saving your work import the modified hdr_eng.big using bigGUI

It should work, let me know.
