Is there any significant performance boost in the final game compared to the demo? Otherwise I'm seriously considering buying a PS2

I guess he means: does the final game run smoother than the demo? Probably his demo wasn't really smooth, and he's now hoping that the final will run smoother. It's possible, I had it before...

The final game runs much smother than the demo in my computer. The demo never run at 1024x768 without slow motion, but the final runs at 1024x768 with FSAA 2x and high detail with normal speed. :

I dont know the fps, but i am playing with XP at 85 hz, so i believe it dont need 60 fps. Another thing i found is now i dont need vsync on or application preference, i can set it to off and the game still runs fine. Im using a Radeon 9600 Pro Powercolor 300/400, Atlon 2gh, Asus A7V, catalyst 3.7. I have a dual boot system and my games runs fast with W98. The demo crash exiting the game with W98, lets see now.

Download fraps and find out what fps its running at. www.fraps.com

Its a pretty important topic because if it doesn't need to be run at 60fps it will please A LOT of people.
If you can run the game at higher than 60 fps without it speeding up, or lower than 60fps without any slowdowns, then the problem is fixed.

my specs:

AMD 1,3 GIG
512 MB RAM
GF4 MX

many slowdowns when the action is at the goal. Is it a cpu issue or a gfx card issue?

nope the speed issues are not fixed.
seems to have gotten worse for me as compared to the demo.
in the demo, i run at 800x600, vsnyc off, 60Hz and i get absolute perfect gameplay with no speed ups/slow downs whatsoever.

Hoever using the same settings for the full game, i keep having the speed up/slow down thing and major slow downs in the goalmouth area. I've tried all combinations of refresh rates, resolutions and vsyncs for the full game, and all has major slow downs in the goalmouth area. mabye due to the speech?
i dunno, feel like installin the demo again which gives me a better gameplay performance and feel.

Im still getting this friggin slow down ffs
I have a amd 3200+ and a gforce 4600 so my system is damn fast enough to run this game.

Check out this bit from the readme file lol

My game runs too quickly.
SOLUTION:
Try increasing the resolution size and quality. To do this, click on the Windows Start button, select Programs, select KONAMI, select Pro Evolution Soccer 3, and then select Setting. This will open the PES3 Setting Menu. You will be able to increase the resolution size and resolution quality from this menu. Alternatively, you may also change the resolution size and quality from the Screen Settings Menu, which can be accessed from the Game Options Menu in the game.

PROBLEM:
My game runs too slowly.
SOLUTION:
Try reducing the resolution size and quality. To do this, click on the Windows Start button, select Programs, select KONAMI, select Pro Evolution Soccer 3, and then select Setting. This will open the PES3 Setting Menu. You will be able to decrease the resolution size and resolution quality from this menu. Alternatively, you may also change the resolution size and quality from the Screen Settings Menu, which can be accessed from the Game Options Menu in the game..

They expect you to balance out their buggy game by changing resolutions
This is a joke and is not acceptable.
Where have you ever seen a game running TOO FAST?

Also does anyone know if there is a way to make custom camera angles?
The standard ones are not good enough and all the vertical views are way to close up.
I cant beleive there is no zoom option:((

If that stuff in the readme is true then...ffs.

Surely thats just ridiculous & if it is the cas then everyones going to be playing a slightly different paced game !? as each combo of processor/card etc... is gonna give different results and who knows which is the correct one !?

OMG that extract from the readme just proves how retarded this company are. They have just admitted they know about this problem by including it in the readme. There shouldn't be a game ever released that requires the user to change resolution to get the game running at the correct speed.
They are only harming theirself in the end, by excluding every1 on sub standard systems or no dvd drive they have cut out a massive amount of sales.

The full retail is almost as buggy as the demo, same problems in options menus "flying around", same slowdowns.
I for one will not buy that kind of crappy pc port, Konami should be ashamed and give away the game for free to download as an early beta.

Im a diehard PES fan, but the pc version is just crap. I'll be playing ISS 3 (inferior, but still) for now. (and lose to my PS2 friends due to no practice) :crazyboy:

I played the demo and the games was OK, i had no bugs with refresh, and i had 60fps in games at 1024*768 so the game will be the same for me :)

Same thing for me, but the full game wont even boot, it crashes right after the konami logo disappear..
