Point is I gave up Fifa years ago and came to PES once it became available on the PC , PES3 I think ... I got PES4 and PES5 .. and dispite myself I will end up getting PES6 ..


But the points though crudely put are vaild , the "aided" passing , the need for SC to 1 get you player out of a fixed run. 2, to keep a player you are controlling "Moving" as you all know SC is not just for getting AI controlled player back in your control , but as I said , players you have under control ..


anyhoo , I play PES because it IS the BEST out there, but this is not a them v us .. Not at my age anyway! Its about playing what is the best football game, and at the end of the day , its my love of football that wants to improve the game..

years ago I played a game called Viva Football , yes it had its faults and was not a great game overall. But the one thing it did have , was FREE manual passing.. Where the ball went was down to which way your player was facing and how much power you but into the pass, that went for high balls or balls along th deck.

That was 8 years ago ... 8years! they had manual passing in a game, you hit the ball the way your player was facing and where it went and how far was down to you and how much power you put into the pass..

8 years later , and leaps and bounds beyond anything the guy on the street could have imagined , yet we still dont have manual "power bar" passing..

Yes if you set it to the Right Analog stick which is not the bext way, to many times I've put the stick to the top right or top left to hit angled passes only for the ball to go straight ..

I was talking about the B button pass , the default passing button ! In Viva this was a manual power pass button, and that is what I want in PES. I control my players direction with the left analog stick and where the ball goes and how far with be down to the way I am facing and how much pwer I put into the pass ...

You don't get that kind of control with the right analog stick , because the right stick not only controls the power of the pass but the direction too ... Much simpler to just to have the B button as the input of the power in the pass and leave the dirction of that pass down to which way your player is facing (left stick)

I'm not saying that watever you said/complaint about the game was wrong but each day someone come and post a thread complaining this and that would not be cool.

been there since... i don't remember how long.

press R3 for short manual passes, R3+L1 for long manual passes.

you have total control of the pass.

I am sure its R1+R3 , I just can't get my hand fingers around that combo , my right thumb is for pressing the pass/shoot/lob buttons to work the default manual pass I have to streach over with my right thumb to control the right analog stick then twist my wristto use my index finger to press the r3 button ... I would be so much simpler to have the normal B pass button a power bar button instead of an auto pass one..

The free pass could be better for pes, i don't like also the 8 way for moving. There are a lot to do but there is no better football game at the moment

the so called "manual pass" is subject to the 8 dir engine just as every other pass in the game and the direction the ball is moving is influenced by the AI/ position of the nearest receiving player. to add, the response when using the analog stick seems to be tinkered with too. sometimes it's immediate, sometimes it takes a fraction of the second until the bar loads up effectively spoiling the op as your unmarked player will be covered in that very moment.

i said this before and don't understand why this should be a problem to implement: just make the triangle pass pressure sensitive (this is somehow FIFAs free pass mode) and totally manual. the harder you press the deeper the ball goes, and the ball goes in the direction you point at and not to some obscure target the AI picks for you -- mostly in the most useless of all ways. this could even be the only pass you ever need in this game when properly implemented.

and what if the other player isnt in the right align direction you passed the ball into ( because of the only 8 way directional ) ?

and what about the fact that some players are better passing than others ?

and what about the fact that in real life , you cant just choose a direction and pass ? you have to have body balance.

if you really dont understand why that would be a problem to implement ... GREAT ... please feel free to implement it ... you have my support , i will buy your game !
