Brolin was really good. But I've always had the idea that after the WC94 he thought he'd show the world what he could do and that was it. He sort of faded away.

Brolin is one of our biggest players. WC 94 was his breakthrough tournament. He scored several goals and he was a big palyer that year. but now he's like totally gone. he doesnt play anymore and isnt soccer involved at all. :( it's a shame.

oh, he also did good in Serie A team Parma.

There was a short clip of him in a sports program I remember, it was after he had failed to make an impression anywhere and I'm not too sure he really wanted to play anymore... at a high level. He was playing for some amateur team... as a GOALKEEPER.

Hes into business nowadays if anyone cares....He owns a vacuum cleaning company, running an Italian/Swedish restaurant called Undici in central Stockholm and he is also into horseracing and owns the famous TB Winner and a few more horses. I see him sometimes because his parents lives nearby me.
He played a few games as a goalkeeper here thats correct.

He was selected to the WC94 all-star eleven.
He got a bad injury in a NT game and after that he never came back to the same level.
He was sold from Parma to Leeds, then to Crystal Palace.
He also played for loan in Basel or Servette I think?
He is the biggest talent we ever had imo and he ended his career when he was 27 yo.
Like pcpdarius I also live near his parents. =)

Now days he is only fat. ;D

man is that is so bad for a great player like him to retire at 27 because of stupid injuries, he went a waste like Van Bastern, damn it!!! life is unfair sometimes

The first time Brolin cuaght my eye was when he scored that great goal in Euro 1992 against England, the goal which knocked England out :).

He was supposed to be a great player at Parma but when he came to play in England, he did overly impress. He was basically too fat .

Another question for the swedes.

How do you pronounce Kallstrom? Commentators in Britain pronounce it:

Chell-strom but how do the Swedes pronounce it?

Aaah...Tomas Brolin...I still chiver now and then when I think about World Cup 1994.

He was damn good and player World Cup -90, Euro -92 (semifinals) and World Cup -94 (3rd place). In early -95 i broke hes leg pretty bad and (25 years old) and he never came back, I don´t think he played for Sweden again. He transferd to Leeds from Parma and had a few arguments with the manager and didn´t get to play. I remember one time when Leeds had injuries and he got to play, he scored (i think) 4 goals in one game and didn´t got to play the game after. In -97 (i think) he got tired on football and stopped playing.

Martin Dahlin transfered to Münchengladbach (i think) and scored goals but he got a injured back and stopped playing football in -98, i think he was 28 maby 29.

I´m not so good at phonetics can´t help you with that  :(

Ok sorry for my bad english ;)
