I sincerely think that you guys should invite EA into this forum and ask them to address all our problems. It is time for EA to get real and release a major patch for all their problems. Why does EA want to cheat on us? What benefit do they get? EA are cheating THEMSELVES. Please EA... For the sake of your avid FIFA fans and the FIFA community.

omg y does everyone hate ea lol .... why do u guyz play fifa ??? cause EA constently do a great job of makin a good football game for us to play ... so wen they come dont critisise them non-stop! they have broken a few promises though that pisses me off to.

overall fifa 2004 is a great game!.

Sure thing, Fifa 2004 is a great game but why is it the same thing every year, putting some new things in and leaving some great things out, why can't they build on top af a great game. It looks like every year the game is build from scratch.
I don't get it, it's so much easier to build on top of an existing game and you would have so much more time for new things.

Don't get me wrong, I really love fifa 2004 but I think EA could do so much more then this...

That is not the case. We play FIFA coz we think they can do a great job year after year. If EA really visit the forums, then why are the games so crappy. This means that they don't listen to us!

EA employees are not allowed to reply to forum topics. Most of the team visit the forums on a daily basis. So even though we don't see their replies, they are visiting the forums everyday.

Apart from major gameplay enchancements which would require complete re-writting of code, addition of extra teams, players and teams changes (which will be completely achievable by the time the Creation Centre is released for PC) what FIFA 2004 "bugs" do you want fixed?

Keep in mind, we have to be talking PC here.

(2) THE ABILITY TO BE ABLE TOO CONFIGURE MY CONTROL PAD LIKE IN PREVIOUS YEARS!

that would be a start... I would say the above three are CRITICAL! i mean WTF they going backwards taking out features!

(1) Don't you have the original game with a cd-key for the matchup? :confused:

(2) Play with the keyboard or buy Logitech Dual Action (btw don't you have the manual)

(3) Only this is a missing feature...

(1) WTF ?? direct ip is alot FASTER, playin over EA is laggy, everyone I know has been playin direct ip for years. Its just between the two computers eliminating all lag.

(2) umm I have a microsoft controller that I use every year that rocks, I just want to be able to say which button is run etc..is that too much too ask! at least someone is working on that one. Where in the manual does it say how to do that !!?

(3) YES IT IS!!

Well, this is the same story every year:

(1) Hype based upon promises by EA.
(2) Usual "this is gonna own PES" comments
(3) Game arrives - within 24 hours people start noticing problems
(4) Within one week there is more negative feedback than positive feedback
(5) Usual "why the heck don't EA listen" and "why do they add features in and take features away?"

Got to say, I played the PC version for a bit and decided it was too horrible to even keep on my hard-drive. Outside of the gameplay which I found repetative very, very quickly and despite what people said, still found it very easy to score long range nitrogen propelled shots from 30+ yards away. The career mode is horrible, why can't you just play a season and continue like in previous years, instead you have to play some kind of pre-generated term management simulation.

The thing that took the freaking biscuit though was players once again walking through the freaking goal posts!!! The collision mapping once again was horrible. The fact the goalkeepers are as tall as the goal is wide in close up view is disturbing. Look at the replays! The goal looks about 8 foot wide close up compared to the players!

Anyway, I'm not gonna bother with the PES3 sales pitch, it looks like EA have already done that for us. With a patch to update the PES3 PC version to real teams/players/uniforms out to coincide with the PC release I think a lot of people are gonna jump the EA ship.......

All I can say is 2 words: Buy PES 3, Fifa sucks, I know from experiance.

Cant dribble past opponents

All of these will be fixed very shortly.

They weren't taken out, they just weren't put in from the console version. But they will be there ASAP. I can't say anything else, I shouldn't even being saying this much so just be patient and they will be taken care of.

Trusting EA to deliver the goods is like trusting a psycho demented person with a fully loaded shotgun put to your head.
Matt's comments "They weren't taken out, they just weren't put in from the console version" is obviously total bunch of bollocks as yes, they were left out of the final version (PC) because they aren't in there. The whole point of a game is to release it as a working, fully functional, tested game and not release a crap pre-alpha version and promise the blinded fans to release updates which will include stuff that they had planned to fit in.

Fifa 2004 is an uncomplete game lacking an aweful lot of basic elements that should be fixed. What about the black players with white skin? Players using the wrong foot.
