Here is the explanation on how to make curved lines (bezier curves) using PaintShop Pro.
1. Select the Drawing Tool.
2. Now go the Tool Options. (See pic)
You'll see a combo box that displays a list where you can chose the style of the line to do: single line (straight), bezier curve (curved), free hand and point to point.
You'll also have the width of the line and 3 check boxes: create as a vector, antialias and close path which means that the second color you have selected in the palette will fill the place between the 2 ends of the line.
So always select create as a vector and antialias, and don’t select close path and that's it (this options are by default like that).
It doesn’t matter in what layer are you standing on - the one you have selected (See Layer Palette pic) - as long as it doesn’t have any vectors (other lines, words, shapes, etc).
If it has vectors, then the line will go to the group of vectors that is in that layer. This means that when you use the Moving Tool you'll move the entire group of vectors.
If it doesn't have vectors, then a new layer will be created with just this line (vector) in it. And by using the Moving Tool you'll just move this line.
TIP: If you want to move just one of the lines (vectors) in a layer that has more than one vector then you have yo use the Selector Tool that will let you move the vectors like lines, shapes , words, etc. separately and also edit them with a double click instead of going to the layers tool.

3. We go to the curves now: select the bezier curve and go to the image. Click (always left) where you want it to be the first point of the line and without releasing the button take it to the point where you want the end of the line. You can release it now.
4. You'll see that your line is transparent now and that it is straight, that’s because you haven't set the curve points yet.
5. There are 2 points to set for the curves so what you have to do is make a click in the transparent line but not in the middle or in one of the ends of it. It has to be between the middle and one of the ends and without releasing the button, move the point around and you'll see that the transparent line will make curves as you move the point. Release it where you want that first point.
6. Now do the same with the second point, only that now selecting it between the middle and the other end of the original transparent line.
7. That's it. By using the Tool Options you can change the color or width of the line without changing the shape. And you can also take the antialias out or put the stroke path if you want it. You can also put borders to the line (using the color boxes).
And remember that by using the Selector Tool you change the shape of the line and even make it a straight line again.
