I DONT GET THIS CRAP!!!! In Fifa 2003, Tim Howard was such a worthless goalie, now because he plays for Manchester U. He is one of the best. And then you have Van der Sar and Victor Baia with skills of about 66. I MEAN COME ON!!!!!! When did Tim Howard get better than them?

If Van der Sar was so much better than Howard, than wouldn't Man U rather have him than Howard? After all, Van Der Sar plays for Fulham and Man U could have bought him for a tiny sum if they wanted him. But they opted for Howard, who has been brilliant so far this season.

And there are more than 10 goalies in the Premiership alone better than Van Der Sar. He used to be quite good, but he peaked a few years ago and is in the decline.

Yes i know they chose Howard, but how does a golie improve his skill by that much for 1 year??? And because he is having a good season, and plays for Man U. doesnt mean he is amazing.

You just say that because you have the American Flag...

He was amazing in the US, but didn't get the recognition he deserved. Man U, among with other European teams were watching him for many years, and the fact that he is only 23 and still so good is impressive. He has kept Barthez away from first team action all year, and all Americans playing in the US of A are always underrated in Fifa. Reyna, Friedel, etc. are all ranked appropriately, but then there are others in the US that still dont get the recognition they deserve.

Howard has always been good, and if you watch him, you will see that he is one of the best keepers in the world. If you cannot see this, then you must be a ref.

Ya thats EXACTLY why I'm saying that. Even if he was Bulgarian I would root for him. ANd by the way I'm Italian, I just moved to the U.S. So stop making assumptions. you are too stupid to think before you act

Com'on ... Tim Howard is good .... but not that good!!!!

Buffon has a rating of 80 ..... while everyone who knows soccer has to admit that he's the best keeper right now.
EA ratings have always been dumb, there's nothing new about that.

Thank you! one person that gets it. And Howard is made better than Abbiatti... now thats some Bull

The reason Howard had a low rating in 2003 was because he played in The MLS , if his stats were high he would be too good for that league . A lot of the stats are bull**** though , like all the Brazilian players have high stats even though they are crap for their club e.g Roque Junior is 83.

Tim Howard is an ordinary GK as many other keepers in the Premiership. Ferguson bought him because MU will gain more profit from the US market where the club has many supporters. Li Tie earns for Everton big profit too from the Asian market. The football nowdays is bussiness.

omg u carnt judge how good a player is from their ratings in fifa 2004 lol .... its a ***n game! ... and Howard is a awesome keeper so he deservs those ratings

Ronaldoinho is right. Man U wants to tap into the American market and one of the best ways to this is to bring an American player on to the team. Howard is a very good player and deserves to be on that team. There is no way Fergie would sacrafice winning just to market a player. As for the player rating...the EA rating system is more like a popularity contest. If they have heard of a player in Canada, then EA will probably give them a pretty good rating.
