This guy has got to be one of the best players to pull on the Australian Jersey.

In a really dour game in the Asian Cup against Oman he comes on as a substitute and the moment he comes on you can tell the difference. He was always around the ball. Constantly in space. Scored the equaliser 2 mins into injury time. Very unlucky to receive a soft yellow card.

Harry Kewell had a pretty quiet game except for the first 10mins of the second half, Viduka wasnt given many chances (Great credit to the Oman defender to keep viduka under wraps the whole game), Schwarzer was absolutely brilliant at the back. Several great saves, unlucky for the ball to squeeze under him for Omans goal.

Emerton was the best in defence. Used his size to his advantage, although did receive a yellow card. Lucas Neill was average.

We really need to pick it up if we are to beat Iraq and Thailand to qualify for the quarter finals.

It was embarrassing to watch the game. We have iraq this friday (AUS time) then thailand next who are all better then Oman.

Yea I've been a personal fan of his for a while now. Even though I'm an Arsenal fan I love players who play with heart and have a little bite in them too. The list would go on and on for players like that in the EPL.

err excuse me man,
iraq is a big team in asia.seriously..if not because of the war in their country..they'll surely be at the same seat with japanese, korea, saudi arabia.
athens 2004, enough said.

IMO, aussies always think that they can win asian cup easily.they think that they're as good as european..boo hoo..

Millwall's best player ever imo.
He was the one who took us to the FA-cup final against Man Utd.
Sadly that goal took him away from us 2 after such a long career in our club. =/

No, the way our team performed was embarrasing. I know Iraq is a good team, they were the other seeded team. What I find embarrasing losing to them is that our papers were saying "Oh, Australia should beat Iraq" and that sorta stuff but nothing on Iraq's players.

It's not the first time we underestimated our oppenents. Against Kuwait, with all our European League players, we got beaten 2-0.
