Thrustmaster Dual Analog 2 Problem, Please Help!

Hi All,

I just bought the FireStorm Thrust Master Dual Analog 2 controller beacuse everyone was talking so much good about it.

But when i play FIFA and play the game, my players always move in one direction on its own.

I have 3.08 Version, and when i go into the Thrustmapper Configuration, this is what it looks like when i do touch the Analog controls.

See how the Dots are not in the CENTER! Can someone please tell me how to get them to stay in the center so i can play FIFA.

Thanks,

Have you actually gone through the configuration and setup for the gamepad in both the Firestorm and Windows menus? Have you tried restarting your PC?

Thats the thing...

I went into the Control Panel\Gaming Options, and clicked on Properties, and the only tab there was TEST.

There is nothing like configuration,

Can you please help,
thanks

You probably have to do the test first ;)

This is what the test is like:

All you do is press buttons and move the controls around to make sure they work.

The controls and buttons do work, but the dots will not stay in the middle.

It's not just to see if they work, it's probably to calibrate the analog sticks as well.
If it's a little off-centre, that's probably causing your players to run in one direction .
Calibration has to be done with every analog input device, they have to be centered first.

Yes, i can see what you are saying.

Because the dots are not center it is causing your players to run in one direction, this is TRUE, unfortunatly.

So i am in the TEST page, and i keep circling them around and around, now what?

I would think there would be a way to calabrate them, wouldnt you?

Thanks for the quick replies. I cant wait to get this fixed.

no prob :)

Maybe if you centre the sticks by hand until they're precisely centered and then press the OK button.
That's all I can think of right now.

I'm planning on buying one of these too one of these days so maybe i'll be stuck with the same problem hehe.

This looks like a very weird problem man, mine is working just fine.
The only thing you can try is to go to www.thrustmaster.com and try contacting the support by e-mail. They are gonna help you for sure.

In that test, did you move the direction stick (the left one) in the up, down, left and right direction? Because that's what you need to do to tell the computer what directions to go if you move the stick.

If that's not working, look for a "calibrate"-function, because that's what you need to do. (sometimes you first calibrate and then you do that test)

If that's not working try the button just above the led and under the word "thrustmaster" and try all of this again.

EDIT: After watching the screen shots, I think you need that first screen to calibrate, just as I wrote above....

Let us know if this work.

I have the same pad and I never had to calibrate it.
But when I go to:

- control panel
- game controllers
- select Firestorm Dual Power 2
- properties

I can not only test, but also calibrate the thing.
BTW. I'm using windows XP.

Hope this helps.

Me neither. And I realized the buttons for passing and lobbing are switched also. Anybody with the same prob?
Somebody try to remap the keys with the Thrustmapper software? Did it work?

Hey Guys,

Thanks for all the help.

After all, none of those solutions worked.

I figured it out though. After going into the Thrust Mapper Program, i configured the Dead Zone and i made it perfect.

So i now am able to play Fifa 2003 with charm.

In return for all who have helped me, i have made a preset for this controller through Thrust Mapper, and all you have to do is load the preset for Fifa 2003, and it will be the same controls as Fifa 2002.

So if anyone wants this file, you can download it at this location:

Thanks again for all the help,

everything is just so much better with a gamepad.... with the keyboard, i always had a feeling that my commands were "delayed".... now its really cool, and the gameplay seems even more realistic! (H)

Good to see you got it working after all.
I'm going to order mine this week as I can't find it in stores near here.
I'll check out your preset then.

BTW: Can you do the freestyle moves now?
