Hi,

thanks for the instructions! I tried to do as you instructed but I did not get the same result. I change all of those ng-files, even the moddingway files to 140 and saved. I am not sure if "save" is maybe not the same as "regenerate". I am not sure, but I didn't find any "regenerate button" in the DB master. I am using the DB master that was used for Fifa 15, since I haven't found a newer version and this one loaded the files the same. What have I done wrong possibly? Also, I have not downloaded your 2 nets files since I cannot anymore, so I have only changed the stadiumnetdepth to 140. Btw, do I need you files to make this work?

Thanks for any clarification! :smilex:

I don't use the moddingway patch and yes, using db master 15 is correct. You don't need to use the 2 style of nets of mine.

I will run through again what you need to do:

Open DB Master and locate fifa_ng_db-meta & fifa_ng_db, then it starts to open the db files.

Next, look for 'stadiums' on the left side and go to 'stadiumgoalnetdeth', as in the picture above. Enter the value you want to try and save, just before you save. make sure that the one you have changed is not highlighted, other words click somewhere else, as i have noticed that after i modified a value and it was still highlighted and i saved it, it wouldn't change the size of the net. My apologies, you don't need to regenerate after the save.

I have modified all the nets for each stadium and they have all changed and work perfectly.

Try the links again, if you wish to use my style of nets.

Hope this helps.

Hi, once more. I dl'd your files and put them in a newly created folder in "sceneassets" named "goalnet" but the nets don't change shape. Where do I have to put those net .rx3 files? Thanks for any answer

The files don't change the shape, they only change the netting.

The path is data/sceneassets/goalnet and place the two files in there and regenerate with File Master.

Ok, I will try that. I haven't regenerated a file before but I will dl the File Master, if that is exactly what it is called and try my way

Much much thanks. I got it to work. They look awesome. Thanks again! (Y)

Just the size of the netting I haven't gotten to work yet, but those 2 files work like a charm. When I try to open the 2 db files it open another folder with more files 0-3. Which one do I have to open?

Whats the other folder?

If you read above, it will tell you how to edit the depth of the nets, if that's what you mean.

Yeah, I want to edit the depth. I have tried to open both db files but when I click on open it opens it like a folder and like a bmp folder and files 0 through 3 are shown and I can only open those. Do I have to extract something before I can open the db files in the DB master?

There are only two files in the db folder (fifa_ng_db & fifa_ng_db-meta). Use DB Master to open them and then it will start to open the files and bang, your in (see post #18 and you will see a picture of DB master, when it's opened the two files). If it ain't working, your doing something wrong.

You are right. I will give it a try again.

Hi Thompson. Would it be possible to not just replace the generic net shapes (bigger squares and hexagons) but to add both of yours so that one can select from all four of those types and change the DB respectively, or can one only overlay your 2 shapes and replace the old ones?

Afraid not.

the nets in first picture is amazing! using them now. thank you!

couple of questions

1- is there anyway to make nets still look white while in the shade? cause it looks greyish at night or under shadow. more of a game issue but maybe there is a fix for it through DB editing or something

2- i LOVE the smaller depth of the net but is there anyway to make the net tension TIGHT? cause it looks loose even though i choose tight for the tension in the game

Glad you like them.

1- I don't think so or if there is i am unaware of it.

2- Unfortunately no, i have spent alot of time with DB Master to make them 'tight' but no matter what i do, it doesn't make a difference.

Dear @Thompson, the square version of your net is fantastic, imo the best net version out there for FF16!
Could you make a version of it in dark green please? Or at least show me how to do it?
I try to do like this:

You can fix the net color by editing the following file: FIFA 16/data/sceneassets/goalnet/netcolor_0_textures.rx3. Here is a link to the file:

https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B-CFngMlWsiJOF9udDJydmw0WjQ/view?usp=sharing

Once you've placed the file in the directory cited above, you'll need to open the file. Do this with this program:

https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B-CFngMlWsiJMGk1aXJpVHdWSWs/view?usp=sharing

This utility is usually bundled with software called Fifa File Master 15, so if it doesn't work you may need to install the software. If it does work, open the .rx3 file you placed in your FIFA directory, extract the first image (red arrow to the right), open the image in photoshop or paint or whatever, darken or lighten the texture as you see fit, save it and then import the edited image with the import png button (green arrow to the left). Then press the save button.

Now you need to regenerate. Do this with FHL Editor, which can be downloaded in the editing tools section of SGF. Place the program in the same directory as your FIFA install (probably Program Files(x86)/Origin Games/), open it and click 'regenerate all BH files (take care of externals)'.

That's it.

...but it doesn't work...
Thank you so much bro! ;)

The reason that it doesn't work is because the underlying net texture (the mesh) is modified. A simple way to deal with this is to extract the .png texture from the .rx3 you download from the main page (extract the one that looks like netting), open it in photoshop, use the hue--colorize feature to color it as you see fit, and then save and import it into the rx3. The only issue with doing it is way is that all nets will have this color, so you lose the ability to assign specific net colors.
