because the majority of the fifa fans don't want to know that another game is better than fifa, so they don't want to talk about it, that's why we were flamed when we told the advantages of iss in the fifa forums...

That's so hypocritical, nobody here criticizes more than the militant ISS fans around here. It's also such a misconception that Fifa fans are thick headed and don't want to understand ISS, the reality is that to many Fifa players, ISS just isn't available to them whether it's due to where they live or they don't have a console system.
Like for example, ISS isn't sold here in Canada, and I'm sure I could order it from overseas, but I also don't have a playstation, so I can't justify buying a playstation, getting it mod-chipped to play PAL version games since in North America it's only NTSC format, ordering the game and paying insane shipping charges, all for a game which I've never even tried before...
I'm sure ISS is as great as everyone says, but money doesn't grow on trees and I wouldn't spend hundreds of dollars based only on the words of others....
So yeah, this forum is lame in that it won't accomplish anything other than move the ISS vs. Fifa flame wars from the Fifa2002 forum to here.

You have a point. I'm with you when it comes to the frustration of not being able to run the European/Japanese ISS without having to jump through a bunch of hoops. When people ask if I need to have my head examined after I tell them I bought FIFA again this year knowing I'd be disappointed, this is what I use to justify my momentary lack of sanity.
Really, in all honesty though, EA really should be held accountable by football fans for the problems with FIFA 2002. To say "it's all we have so stop complaining" is not going to bring a better game to North America. To the extent that this forum makes it known that there are other options then it is of some value.
Plus it's a lot of fun - poking holes in FIFA is like shooting fish in a barrel at times.

Anybody who is unhappy at not being able to get Pro Evolution Soccer from Konami in North America needs to join the e-mail campaign I started in the PES/ISS forum...

If we get enough people bombarding them with requests for this game to be released here maybe they will listen. Most importantly tell them NOT AMERICANIZE IT. Including MLS is fine but we don't want an MLS ONLY version. Be sure to emphazise this point in your e-mail. Send those E-mails!

Actually, I think the point WAS to move the debate from the FIFA forum to here. I'm sure the fifa fans are tired of hearing the truth.
I think there is some other point, but maybe I drive it too far now, so please correct me if I am wrong...
When you LIKE football, without being a footballfanatic, FIFA will be good enough, because you are not aware of the more subtile tactical elements of football. Also in that case you don't mind if 13-0 is unrealistic; you just want to kick the computers ass as hard as possible. Then you also find it fun to outplay a complete team with 360o dummies.....
But when you are a real footballfanatic, you want a real footbalsimulation, which offers tactics, realistic scores/game-play and want the players and the ball act as realistic as possible..
In short, the fanatic is far more critical and that's the reason you see more ISS-ers overhere than FIFA-players...

yeah sure, it's like me playing madden or nhl, i think these games are excellent, but i only 'like' those sports, and i don't know anything about their tactical subtilities, so i enjoy playing it even if it's not 100% realistic (well apparently madden makes the unanimity, but not nhl
