Things I Want BACK In The FIFA Series.

1. I like the calendars we had in 96, 97 and 98. Nice touch.

2. The In Game Management system. On the fly formation changes. World Cup 98 etc.

3. Same as above but the ability to push up for offsides and double team coverage like we had in 2001.

4. A in game editor, not this buggy crappy CC. Ability to change numbers on players etc etc. like in the last few FIFA's

5. Des and Andy back.

Things I’d like to see in the game.

Fatigue. Real fatigue. I can go a whole season with the same squad baring injury at the moment.

A real transfer market where the other clubs actually dabble in it as well. Rejected offers for players.

I'm getting sick of EA adding cool new **** then taking it away the very next year.

I wish, man i wish, i had the ability to make my own damn game.
Or EA, stop making the game in Canada and send it to the UK, please. Pretty please.

There is so much more...

They could also add the lowr league teams as a proper division you could play with, so i could thrash Falkirk with the mighty St. Mirren :)

Bring back indoor mode and training mode too.

FIFA 2003 is a very good game for the FIFA series, but granted, they have left out some cool stuff and some things never made a return...INDOOR STADIUM! :)

I think they should update the new game engine and leave it 'as is', but add some new features and make the systems/modells harder (shooting, passing, etc).

I'd like to see last years (FIFA 2002) or even WC 2002's player animation back. In FIFA 2003, the animation is soooo freakin STIFF. The players animate horribly. They run with thier arms hanging down to thier side, like thier 65 yrs. old or something. I hate that. It just feels so stiff to me. Not very fluid.

really ...

these are all good suggestions, but they mean the gum on the bottom of my shoe unless you do something with them, or a considerable no. of people support your idea.

i am not talking as in 5-10 members here, i am talking 100 or so people :)

i think somewhere on EA there was a fifa 2003 forum before the game came out, look out for it before fifa 2004 ... thats where your ideas will be seen by the people you really want to see them :)

take my advice on this one ...

and dhruv .. the game isn't that bad ... i like it :)

Yeah ive spoken to heaps of ppl that are REALLY happy with the game..

Really this annoys me a bit. EVERY year ppl seem to forget what they were saying the year before. FIFA 2002 was a huge improvement gameplay wise over 2001, but ppl complained about it, as if nothing changed. Again 2003, is much better than 2002, but ppl still find plently to complain about, and heaps of reasons as to why the game is soooo bad. The player animations in my opinion look good, when ur kick the ball ahead and sprint, u really look just like Ryan Giggs when he does this (and i believe this is who they modelled it off).

Anyway, if u dont think the game is that good, speak to Drovers Dog at FIFA Oceania. He is a huge PES fan, and recently bought PES2. He hasnt even opened PES2 yet, because he's right into FIFA 2003 atm. B4 this he wasnt much of a FIFA fan at all..

opposition substitutions

i'd like the computer opposition to make substitutions even if they dont have an injured player. in wc98 they computer opposition made subs just because they were tired. this makes the game more realistic.

From what i have experienced in the game so far, the training and indoor options would be a welcome addition in any future release.
=======================================
The control system, 'specially using the gamepads needs tightening up to get rid of that lag or inert feeling that is there. But there again that could be caused by the power up system.
======================================
The other thing that i reckon would be great is an option to assign tasks to your players as in zonal defending\man on man\and cover or space defending like we have in the Pes series.
=====================================
The team managment needs attending to too, i have noticed as a reference that if you change over to say a 5-3-2 system it seems to be a preset value that you can't change as in an attacking or normal mode. And another option is to be able to change the sytem of play or Igm on the fly without having to access any menus.
============================================
So far i havn't seen any players who are knacked by injuries and showing any sort of 'red cross' icon that signals problems in the team, but then maybe i missed it.

Yeah, well if EA keep up to speed with Fifa 2004 and do the required tweaks and bits and pieces it could be a very good if not a great Fifa release, and this coming from me who has really slathered and hammered EA to the wall about there past efforts is a pretty big statement. They have saved face with Fifa 2003, so lets hope that they can set a new and better standard next time around. :)

i haven't purchased 2003 yet but i'm just curious if EA fine-tuned the "one touch" passing mechanics for this release. i don't know who decided that having the player juggle and settle the ball before making a pass counts as "one touch"--as the players do in 2002--but it's dodgy at best.

anyone?

Yes they have fixed this and you can make one touch passes.

Indoor mode was crap you never see man utd play indoor soccer on tv so it's better if we are without it

You see Man Utd legends playing in indoor mode in those legends tournaments ;)

Something that was really cool which was in FIFA 98 and WC 98 was the cheats you could enter. You could play in an outdoor pitch which had invisible walls so the ball didn't go out, basically indoor mode on an outdoor pitch. it was class :hump:

I wish they had the camera set up like they had it in WC2002.

If it isn't broken, don't fix it.

Damn, I forgot about the way we used to have almost complete control of our formations. Remember being able to make players more aggressive or nutters? Make players play further up or further back...or in or out. Brilliant stuff.

2K3 is a decent football game, it really is. I've been playing it loads....but...why add good new stuff...then...take it away a year or two years later. Some of that stuff was awesome and completely added to the game play and ambiance of the game.

I don't like a few things of this years version and even if i had all the stuff missing back in it, i still wouldn't be entirely happy.

The defense is stupid, the wide backs never come into the middle...well if they do it'sa rare sight. When you do tackle and miss you stand up then run 5 yards AWAY from the player you tried to tackle.

Why can't they just give us a retextured/touched up RTWC 98?

I installed all my previous FIFA's last night (well the ones that would install on Win2K) and played them. 96 didn't install. 97 i could play from CD, it had some cool features. RTWC 98 was awesome! 99...bleck, Pinball Playstation. 2000 wouldn't install.
2001 not awful. 2002...eh...getting better.

They are on the right track. They just need to listen to us a wee bit better. But at this point they don't have to. They've go the money and they know they'll have the money for a long tim eto come. When they start hurting for buyers...then they will listen to us.

1- Better in game management.

2- Triggers for selecting specific player runs and on the fly formation changes.

3 - Gamepad programming screen like in NHL 2002/2003.

4 - I have 9 buttons on my gamepad, figure out a way to use them all. Currently 4 buttons have no function. Give me another skill move, an offside trap or bring back the curving options.

5 - Shots ON target
