Arsenal centre forward Thierry Henry has been in an exclusive interview with L'quipe about his Arsenal future and has told them that he has met up with Sir Alex Ferguson in a possible move when the transfer window opens at the end of the current season.
He told L'quipe: "My ambitions for Arsenal Football Club are to win this year's Champions League, but if we do not win, I feel that my ambition to win a major national trophy such as the European Cup would give me no option but to move to club that has more of an opportunity to win major trophies, and I do not intend to move to another country as I am happy playing my football here, but if I had to move to another English club, it would be Manchester United".
Thierry Henry has met up with the English giants in a possible move away from Highbury to the Red Devils.
Manchester United chief executive David Gill said, "We do not want to into great detail about this possible move for Thierry, but we are still in negations but we would love Thierry to join us in a bid to win next year's Premiership and Champions League campaigns".
This week with the Glazers backing of Sir Alex Ferguson and his ever growing wishlist, he said, "We feel that we can compete with Chelsea for top quality football players for the likes of Thierry Henry".
Most of the Arsenal fans have expressed their anger over Henry's outburst and the possible move to big rivals Manchester United who were beaten 2-0 last Sunday at Old Trafford.
Thierry Henry has also criticised his team-mates and his manager for the lack of passion and the lack of commitment and competition from his fellow players as they have failed to catch up with big-guns Chelsea and Manchester United in the Premiership.
