new patch out,



my gameplay patch whcih is far more realistic than anyones patch,, took me since starting of fifa 2002 to edit this after time of playing with differnet teams etc...,,

i played man utd vs west ham and west ham was beat 3-1 that was me on world class, when i usaully thrash them on world class because come,


no more stupid offsides or goals, goalkeepers much more realistic, if a player breaks away 1-1 player 5-1 scores

i say just check this out for me, you will be impressed, i used a few additions from daves patch on fifa-patches and im sure he wont mind, if you just try it and pleas epost your comments

well sorry nick the ever so great nick, i bow at your feet dear lord

give me a break, you just dont know good football game when yousee one, this patch is for the peopel who play at world class and are good at the game,

Not everyone likes you patch so stop bloody swearing at me for f**k sake, i ddint need that, you are a k#joker and yout hink your patch is the best in the world, to you it may be and too me mine is let others diecide and not critise every single patch for gameplay that is not yours, critise yourselfs first..
your patch is unplayable, no teamplay involved at all, boot the ball up the pitch and score, wowow theres more to football than scoring

and the cpu always get me on the long balls to the wing crosses whcih make the game so unrelaistic

Yea, I agree with you stevesutton about nick being an ass. I havent tried the patch yet but Nick should not bash your patch so harshley.

Im about to try this update and when I do Ill post a review of it......

sorry mate nick is right, ur patch sucks, its nothing compared to nicks and its worst than the original, the dribbling is screwed and if u shoot the shot goes behind you i mean how did u manage to do that, i dont mean to diss you but seriously you need to start all over again with this, i played for 15 seconds before i quit and reinstalled nick's patch sorry mate try again. I think if you try harder you could make a greater patch but this is very poor its not even playable sorry

IMPRESSIONS OF TWO PATCHES

OK, Ive played a grand total of 3 games using Nicks 1.34 (easy shot, strict refs, free run) and 4 games running Steves gameplay update and here are a few notes. I played the same team (Club Brugge) against different opponents. Also, I dont know and dont care about either fella so Im not getting paid for saying any of this.

Fatigue - Nick has it, Steve doesnt. Was a bit of a change to not have to substitute when I changed to Steves patch. I run top forward Doarte to the ground using Nicks patch in 65 mins.
Cards - Didnt get a single card for any team using Steves patch, while using Nicks patch a game against Sparta Prag turned into a slaughterhouse with seven cards and three injuries. Loved that game, it was intense!
Shooting: Hard to compare but Nicks feels more like pinball shots. His games scored a lot more too. Also, Steves patch seems to have a more diverse AI to shooting. Its basically the last option, while as Nicks players shoot as they see net.
AI: Seems like Steves players monkey around a bit more around their own end. I got several chances picking the pocket of defenders. OTOH, Nicks teams are outright aggressive and do those trademark cornerback passes, not to mention the godawful crosses between top forwards. Steves patch had an opposition that tried to build an attack by connecting up to the midfield and then select an option. Usually the winger pass, but also the crafty one-two up the middle and the gentle flick over the centre half showed up. Nicks patch never did that. Another thing is that with Steves patch you get more surprising shots and solutions.Nicks patch sticks to the FIFA model (get close to the box, fire!).
When playing Steves patch, I almost always felt the CPU earned its goals (or punished my mistakes), while Nicks aggressive play makes the CPU seem overwhelming at times.
As for shooting behind, as someone claimed was caused by Steves patch, that never appeared during my games. My suggestion is you calibrate your gamepad. I had some problem with passing tho. As Steves patch relies on getting a passing game going, my pad was a bit of a bother as I tend to get stuck sometimes without unloading a pass. That?s Gravis problem tho, not Steves. OTOH, Nicks passing model/ball physics seems to have been adapted from early Turbo Pong with Flubber as a ball...
Final impression: Steves patch offers a better total football experience on my early impression, but id love for it to adapt the CPU aggression and fatigue of Nicks patch.
All of this, IMHO.

thanks for that analysis storvreten i aggree it needs to be more aggressive which is easy to achieve, and fatigue needs to kick in

thats what i was trying to achive which you kind of pleased me, i didnt want to keep it to the same sort of game, i wanted to totally change the way you have to play the game, you have to actually build the game up, same as the cpu, you'll be lucky to run throught there defence, and shooting has its probs i know, basically you got to remeber this is my first and to me personally the best reaistic football AI ever seen in a patch, i actully aggree they deserve there goals and you have to be focased everytime not to let them throught your defence, imw orking on making it harder for world class and the same level for professional, but the game is making more of a football game than i hoped and i hope alot more people place there inteligent answers here (NICK!)

i would like to piont out you have to be very good the game, and also nick no copying there is a hidden file in the ini.big that cant be removed and if i see any patch with it in without my permission ill pull you up on it...

although i havent tested your patch, i WILL NOT criticise it and since the poeple are using it and loving it MORE than Nicks! and i luv their comments..simply brilliant..seems that nick should really get out of this......btw, did you test the destruction_update 3.0 BETA Gameplay Patch ??
then u'll N the people will know what real and total football is
