PS Mandieta6 might be trolling because he's argued he is not obligated to give a reason for his stance which is the thing he crucifies Xaviesta for.

EXACTLY my thoughts as I was reading through his long posts. He is making statements without giving valid reasons to justify them, just like Xaviesta.

"I don't like to play and work on the same device" is an extremely vague and weak reason IMO. There gotta be other reasons.

My original point is; a desktop can do what a laptop and PS4 can do combined (obviously except portability).

I think I spent about 300 on my PS3 and something between 10-30e per game. I think I have like 15 games so that's 450e as a higher-than-reality estimate. That's a total of 750, more or less. As I said before I don't mind paying for things I actually use, but even if I did the cost has been minimal and to avoid it you'd have had to convince me years ago. Right now there is nothing to save, like I said.

Latest high quality games cost 60-70 dollars i.e. 40-50 euros. I find them very expensive. Imagine having a console for 5 years and spending 5 years worth of games. Unless you want to continue to play old games which is pointless, this may end up being a huge amount. That's the reason I hate console gaming.

Last time I had a console was PS2 and back then you could get copy games for cheap. Now you only can get original games.

I did not give my stance. I have none. Xaviesta states things with no foundation and has a track record of basing his opinion on bullshit. In this case my opinion on PC vs consoles is irrelevant because I have an oldgen machine and an old pc that can't run games and a nee laptop I just want to use for work. Otherwise games distrsct me and the nee laptop isn't equipped for new games anyway.

Well, at least you clarified this part rather than giving vague statements. If you are working on a thesis for example, you wouldn't want to have an icon of a game on your desktop than would make you become tempted to click and then forget about the thesis. Makes sense.

I never got into it because it doesn't matter to me. I don't get into the console wars. I don't want to play PC games for the reasons above and because I just don't like it. I have no intention to invest in a device or high end games. I never wanted to discuss this either.

Like I said, I like to seperate gaming from work. Whatevrtw the reasoning is irrelevant.

About games, like I said, I don't buy new games and don't mind paying for old games.

To stay on topic:

Do y'all americans know anything about NCAA Football coming back? There were talks of them returning in 2016 but I guess the earliest now would be 2017.

I really hope it will be back next year; I don't see any way it comes back this fall. Hell, the typical release date has already passed.

I really want to play a version of NCAA where I can export rosters to Madden. You could do that with 2014 but I have 2013 (both) and NFL 15. The scouting system for 14 is more game-y though, as you don't talk to recruita but assign points.

I would really enjoy an immersive duo of games where recruitment and drafting play a major part. Those are the best parts anyway. Sometimes I even sim games just to get to recruiting.

Wisconsin? I restarted a game with an inserted Yale team and am taking it slower and trying to let the team develop and recruit at my level. Went 0-12, 1-11, 2-10 before a turnaround 8-5 bowl loss. No blue chip players recruited until the 3rd year where I went for a couple and then focused on blue chippers from the viccinity and will now try to recruit blue chippers nationally. Also moved us and Havard from Independenta to Big East and I figure after a cycle (freshmen graduate) I'll go ACC and then maybe in the future Big 10 which has more interesting teams.

There are websites where you can get games for 10-20 bucks like a month after being released. If you wait a year like I did with Watch Dogs, you can get them for a freaking dollar.

For consoles!? That would hardly cover the costs of the manufacturing of the disc etc?

Or do Xbox One and PS4 download games like PC?

Yes, digital games only.

I do that for PC. Use sites like green man gaming, and get voucher codes from retailmenot etc.

But they're still not near the prices you're saying?

Would a NFL management game, along the lines of FM work? It seems such a tactical game, and the USA college and draft system would make it so much fun to scout etc

Has there been one before?

I was thinking the exact same thing earlier. I was going to ask if anyone had done it. A game where you can play in any level (HS, college, NFL (CFL, Europe) so you can follow recruiting and draft and stuff would be awesome. Madden and NCAA are also missing the ability to actually create plays.

Also, for Madden 17 I want them to include the option to play as an O-lineman as a be-a-pro. You can certainly make it fun and there are ways to track your effectiveness so it is very doable.

G2A is the one I use. I remember seing Arkham Knight for Xbox One for 14 dollars.

EA Sports made NFL Head Coach awhile back, but it was pretty crap. I think one that looked like early Championship Manager could work as long as you have players going all the way back to High School Freshmen.

I guess it's harder to make the game really have longevity like FM because you don't really have divisions to bring a side up through. And what it's great keeping your eye out for the latest high school talent, it's not like a pro team can sign him to their youth side
