I'd love it, absolutely love it; but, I don't see the point of it, seeing as essentially every N64 game worth its salt is being remade on the 3DS at the moment.

Probably not going to be very good at all. MW3 was a massive disappointment if you ask me, it was obvious they'd had problems during the development and some good work was ruined by replacing the artists who made MW2 with people from Treyarch presumably.

I'm way too into BF3 now to really care about going back to COD. But I'm a sucker so I'll probably buy it anyways just for the online play with my friends.

I believe CoD needs something fresh, different concept or something. All CoD's are usually the same, chase that guy, snipe that guy, scenario is based on the same line. It'll be interesting to see how will future warfare look like, and I like Treyarch more then Activision, and with that Black Ops was very good in my opinion, allthough Black Ops is rated as the least popular CoD in the sereis. But put that aside, every year when new CoD comes out it breaks all the sales its predecessor have had, which means people still like it no matter what.

Also, I'm looking forward to Medal of Honor - Warfighter which should be great. It will use DICE's Frostbite 2 Engine which means graphics will be very similar to Battelfield 3, but at least Campgain is already guaranteed to be much better.

I usually dont play online as I like to follow the story of the game, I enjoy it more then multiplayer shooting. Though, Co-Op options for some games like in Bordelrands are very appealing, cause you can pass Campaign with your friend and its not just classic shoot&run like multiplayer usually is. I'm kinda guy that will follow carefully what is story about, what characters are in it etc., thats why I like MGS, Resident Evil, Assassins Creed and other games rich with story background.

Anyway, I got Sniper Elite V2, its pretty hard (if you dont want to be discovered often), but yet very interesting and very fun. And I'll probably get soon Street Fighter X Tekken. It's Tekken combined with Street Fighter game, what else to say. It could be fun to play it with friends on PC with joysticks. I'm a big Tekken fan, been playing with Jin from Tekken 3. Oh man, I'm such a geek. (H)

I actually did the MW3 story today for the first time which was actually pretty good. Yeah, you could see that at points it was like the exact same scenario as MW2 but it was still an exciting experience, something that was missing from Crysis 2 which is probably the last FPS story I finished.

Good to here Sniper Elite V2 is good too play, I find myself going back too play the demo alot which is always a good sign. I'm going to finish a few more games and then look at buying it probably.

cod 4 is the best cod of all the cod games, hands down, i still play it online now, its alive & probably has more people playing it than mw2 or mw3.

I've been playing a lot of Master of Orion lately.

You may have noticed that I won the game in 83 turns against the three best races in the game (Psilons, Klackons, and Humans) and the fastest starter (Silicoids). On impossible difficulty. And btw, Master of Orion is the game that comes closest to actually living up to the "impossible" difficulty designation. Seriously, try a game, any of you. You can have the game up and running in 10 minutes tops with dosbox and a freeware version. I submit that any noob might not even have a third system colonized in 83 turns.

I played Master of Orion II a lot, but my tactic was very research-oriented and based on slow growth, as in, I wouldn't colonise a new system unless the last one I colonised was self-suficient and relativelty advanced.

I haven't played MOOII since probably 1997 or 1998, but that's not a good strategy. I actually enjoy the slow growth strategy more as well, but on Impossible you take the wins as they come. In this case, I likely capitalized on the good relations with the Humans at the start and what I can only assume was a galactic loathing of an expansionist douche Klackon.

With that said, Psilons are definitely the most fun. I recently played a Psilon game on Average difficulty to get back in the swing of things and was absolutely murdering people. The poor Mrrshans had lasers (!!!) when I had a fleet that could take out the Guardian of Orion. The Mrrshans are always the worst.

Mrrshans are too aggressive early on and it stunts their development. If I'm not mistaken, they also have ground bonuses which are kind of pointless, especially if you're fighting on several fronts. My early tactic was to always forge alliances but never go to war. If I am forced into war, blitz their weakest colony. Generally if you're forced into a war it's with a race that is already at war wirth several other sides, and you can get them to sign a peace treaty early. I'm very much about slowly building doomstars and oblitaring an allied race in 2 turns. I think I've only ever won once via council. The most fulfilling thing was always colonizing a new planet and turning it gaia and making it super advanced.

MOII was the only one I ever played, but it was so much fun, I've probably played it on and off for the last 13 years.

I just realised that we could do multiplayer, do these games still have those functions?

I would highly suggest downloading MOO1 and giving it a try. Yeah, the Mrrshans are very aggressive, and they also happen to be the only race with two mortal enemies (Alkaris--cats and birds, and Sakkras). Their bonus is also arguably the least useful; they are "excellent gunners" so I think they get like a +2 on targeting, which seems useful, but compare that to the Alkari advantage of +2 to shields. If Alkari run up against Mrrshans, the Alkari can essentially fend off the Mrrshan advantage, while their slightly inferior lasers take out the crappy Mrrshan shields. Defense always comes first, even if you don't have great weapons, you will win battles if your shields protect you from better guns. I think the Mrrshan's are also poor researchers with the possible exception of weapons, which is actually the least useful as it confers no additional benefits (i.e. computers aid in spying, construction in ship building, etc).

So yeah, they are just overall awful. My favorite (aside from Humans and Psilons) are the Meklars because they get +2 factories per population. At the outset this is a disadvantage because factories are expensive and it costs so much to clean up all the pollution from the extra factories that essentially you are paying a huge premium for extra factories that confer no production benefit because of the resources required to keep the planet habitable. However, when you get some good eco techs at the beginning of the mid-game they become an absolute terror. AI Meklars favor Huge ships and stacks of small ships so large they can make you cry. If you can get a good eco restoration, and factories down to 5 BC per instead of the 10 BC they cost at the beginning of the game, then you're on easy street if you have a good start.

With all that, however, the humans remain the easiest to win the game with. They are good researchers, which helps, but most importantly everyone loves them, making diplomatic victories almost easy if you keep good relations with the other races. It also helps to understand stuff like "planetary invasion of your border systems doesn't mean the AI is at war with you, but if you do it they will go to war with you" and "enemy of my enemy diplomacy".

2 years ago, I was waaaay into MOO; I'd go to message boards and read game reports from good players and ****.

Yeah, shields take up more points that guns in the customization page, at least in MOII. I'll give downloading it a go, since my laptop doesn't have a CD reader. Psilons are easiest though, there's no race bonus, other than telepathy maybe, that can't be bettered through technology, and creativity is the best because of it.

CD? Nah bro, MOO1 is a DOS game. You'll need this

http://www.dosbox.com/

Anyway, IMO it's better than MOO2. It's more difficult and looks simpler. Also I think the economy is more sophisticated, but again it doesn't look that way.
