American sports contracts are different, they're usually full of incentives, the basic wage could be around $300k/year, but when you tack on all possible incentives it could increase to $5m.

Most of the incentives are usually impossible to reach, say one could be "If the player averages 38 points per game he will earn an extra $1m". I mean, let's face it, he's not going to do that unless he's a 29 year old Jordan.

That's why they're so high.

This is done as a loophole in the salary cap.

Shut the f*ck up. Those 3 clubs are more financially stable than Madrid or Arsenal.

Interesting list. Didnt know Thuram and Capello make that much...although i did know that DP, Buffon and Nedved were big earners...soon Trezeguet will be on that list as well.

Madrid yes, but Arsenal not anymore.

Italian clubs have the most unstable finances outside of Chelsea. i.e. without th eitalian PM Milan would be deep in debt.

you can say that berlusconi puts italian money into the team, but i think he puts his own money (has a lot of it from his parents and family business for those of you who think he steals :rolleyes: )

people can be ignorant sometimes :)
