I agree that Morientes should be brought back...he has won more titles than Ronaldo in the Champions League and allows Raul some freedom. However, that would be against Real' s nature of acquiring a big name. With all likelyhood, they will dump Morientes off somewhere, keep Ronaldo and acquire someone else most likely Tottii. However, if they did get rid of Ronaldo it could signify a change in thinking on their part and may wind up causing the team to acquire that defender that is really needed badly. I think that this season is collapsing....it is not about to collapse but has already started collapsing. This is not Arsenal who can play defence. They could atleast salvage something, Real are highly unlikely to do so.:kader: It really should be starting to sink in now that defence is the key element that needs to be upgraded...heck it is the only element. Problem is that having come out and made a statement like we are goina get the World' s best every summer isn' t good at all!:kader:

Over the course of those "couple of years", they won how many Champions League titles?

Here it is:

You know what? I'd bring Morientes back and sell Ronaldo. The duo Raul-Morientes worked pretty good over a couple of years.

ahem, so i was saying that the Raul-Morientes couple only worked for some years and then suddenly Raul became "la bestia" and Morientes beame crap.. ext ext..

That's incorrect. Morientes never became crap, his playing time dramatically decreased due to the arrival of Ronaldo, making him unable to finish the season with an "XX" amount of goals to his name like he used to. That's why he left.

Btw, anyone know where Moro will play next season? I hear Monaco can't afford to pay his wages.

Hanek45, do you know what you are talking about? :|

It sure doesn't seem like it

What I wish Perez would do is get two strong, reliable centre-backs

We could move Helguera to CDM where IMO he is best at and keep our Salgado and Carlos

I hope my wish comes true:monkey:

For anyone who speaks spanish, what does this say? I think its on Ronaldos injury.

if you get rid of Ronaldo you get rid of 24 leagues goals! you know what that means with Madrid's defense? You cant tell me Morientes would be scoring this much if he were playing. You cant get rid of your best foward and say that that is an Shifty*provement to the team, thats just stupid. Ronaldo has been clutch for Real Madrid, Raul nor Morientes has ever socred goals like this (quantity wise) in the league. .
