Sevillista;2321437 said:Congratulation guys, Madrid were clearly the better team. Although we had some great play in midfield and some beautiful approaches on attack (that were wasted), it always seemed that Sevilla were weathering the barrage of attacks from Madrid. The goals came as no surprise.
Gotta say though, we just played a tough match on Thursday which left Navas, Adriano and Javi Navarro (starters) injured and others fatigued. That's the cost of playing three competitions.
Robinho did not get two yellows for celebrating!! He was carded earlier for arguing with the referee and the second came from taking off his jersey in celebration. There is no controversy here.
Socrates, what's with all the hostility towards the Sevilla players?
EDIT: btw, the goal by Chevanton could turn out to be very important. If Sevilla tie with Madrid on points at the end of the season, the first tiebreaker is head-to-head goal difference. With the 2-1 in Sevilla, and the 3-2 in Madrid, we are tied. The next tie breaker is the goal difference over the whole season, which Sevilla is leading by 6 goals. Also:
1. Awesome goal by Maresca. Almost jizzed my pants when it happened.
2. Excellent performance by Guti. He made it look so easy.
That was NOT a penalty. There was no contact that was out of the ordinary. Ramos flailing his arms and tucking in his legs for the fall led to the Madrid public clamoring for a penalty which is the only reason this is in question.Socrates;2321624 said:Well most of it was just from being overexcited by the match but I really do hate certain players like Alves, Ocio, Navas and J. Navarro even though they did not play and also your president.. I think bigal explained it pretty well and yes Guti was going down easily last night ( but he does that every game so it's no suprise ) and Robinho usually stays on his feet this season. Also anyone else think that Ramos should have had a penalty? I only saw one replay so maybe it's not enough but it looked like Kanoute put his hand on his shoulder and was pusing Ramos down on that freekick we had? And yea Robinho was booked on 2 sperate occasion's and Beckham's yellow card was also very...weird but the craziest one of all is that Casillas was booked for celebrating with the team??
Oh yea and I forgot to say that Maresca's goal was fantastic, kind of like Zizou's volley. Just unstoppable.

treble41;2321975 said:It's funny how Barca and Real (obviously not that game against Sevilla, there was a lot of class in that one) have played poorly at times and ridden luck but are first and second. People were always complaining about how Chelsea didn't deserve to be Premiership championships the last two years because they didn't put in big performances but Real and Barca show how good teams always find results regardless of how they perform.

Also, for the record, Aitor Ocio did not deserve a red card. Here is a highlights reel of the game that clearly shows Aitor's "violence" towards Diarra. He aggressively brushes him off, but there is never any contact to the face, and Diarra playacts to make the ref think he was punched. It's a yellow, but not a red. I don't mind if you hate Ocio, Socrates, but this is a really weak excuse to lash out at him. It's not like he was trying to hurt anyone, which is more than I can say for Cicinho yesterday.
Btw, Luis Fabiano was red carded for repeatedly calling the sideline ref "hijo de puta." What a retard
Socrates;2322007 said:
LMAO, looks like Capello is grinning at Juande Ramos. haha.
You obviously did not see the video. It's not a matter of opinion. Aitor did not throw a punch, he shoved Diarra away with his forearm without any contact to the face. It was aggressive, it was pure frustration, but it was not a punch. That is plain to see.Socrates;2322007 said:I have seen enough clips of it and while there was not full contact from Ocio on Diarra there was intention there, that was more than just a push away. Sorry but you don't throw your make your hand into a fist than thorw it at your opposing player when your trying to aggressively push someone off of you. Even if there was not contact there was intent and that is enough to warrant a red and a throw like that can sting even if it does not connect right. Ocio has to be an idiot to even do that although he did fool the ref but the linesman saw it. You can believe what you like because he is a Sevilla player but that was a stupidass move on his part, did Diarra milk it? Possible although you can see that it did scarth off his face/eye so it does not really look like it.

Madrid already sold out their match against Espanyol. It's nice to see the Madrid public supporting their team again.
Jaouadinho;2322149 said:iam a bit late but what a awsome match, do people still think we are boring.
every one was great on sunday, socrates why are u having ago at cicinho? i thought he did well, or not as bad as u say he did.
aitor ocio deserved the red card because i think the rules are if u put ur hand on a players face with vilonet intention its a red card.
do people still hate capello? i really think we will be ****ed if he leaves next season.
robinho was shown a straight red card, i didnt see him get a yellow before that and this conferms it.

Socrates;2322219 said:I did see it after my post, and I still have the same opinion of it. It was a badly thown punch, either way even if it's not a punch it's a red card offsense. You don't thorw your forearm like that at someone's face, it was a stupid move that was out of frustation and he got red carded for it.
Sevillista;2322297 said:He never touched his face!!
