i think there are better strikers out there to be honest. he is a good player, but he is a barcelona reject. if it was messi it would be hard to turn down :funny:
i would rather spend big money on david villa, but we dont need another striker at the moment we have big ruud. and after the wonder goal on saturday, he is just as good as any other world class striker
also i think most of you will know but we are being linked with werder bremen's diego(former porto and santos). if we cant get kaka then he would be second best. plus his understanding with robinho would make for good watching

yeah i hope we get ribebry i think he would be perfect for us, and would be quite cheap around 13 mill isnt bad.

i also think we should get diego as guti is too incosistant, and kaka is almost imposable, i would love to see him play alongside robinho at real madrid.

Diego? Now there's a good idea and one many of us haven't thought about since our directors are obsessed with Kaka. We need to get rid of the dead weight asap as well. Time to move on. I want to see Robinho as a pure ss and no longer as a winger...or raul for that matter. Key is to acquire a new coach first and let him work it out, No sense in getting more players he can't or doesn't want to work with. Of course, we are waiting for this season to end inorder to can Caps, especially since we are still in the race, we wouldn't want more negativity around.

Saviola is a very good striker but we have too many people to cover that position what we need is to finish the season with the tittle leave cappello do the work and get players like:

DIEGO which we could get easier than KAKA and could do pretty much the same work (H)

RIBERY cheaper than C.RONALDO and most likely would come to madrid but there is a catch his attitude sucks :boohoo:

realmadrid.dk are saying that barcelona will trump us for kaka because they are offering ronaldinho. if thats the case then diego would be very welcome. if we have to pay anymore than 35mil for kaka than i would prefer diego anyway he will be under half that.
and they are also confirming the saviola deal. shame really, i think he will be another michael owen. just older and not as effective. i dont want him , but he will probably make me eat my words

Kaka wouldnt want to go to Barca...he always said that his dream was to play at Real, but also that he is happy at Milan. So a move to Spain would mean to us. And yeah Diego is fantastic too so we have options....and we are also interested in Diego....he even has a verbal agreement with us (according to Marca and AS lol).....Now over to Saviola. I always liked him, he did great at Barca when playing! He is the ONLY player I like that plays for that sh#t team. I wouldnt say no to a free transfer of him, that would be just stupid...I mean he is great you cant deny that. He is fast as hell, has a great dribble, good finishing, works harder than everyone else (except Ramos and Raul lol) and has a good mentality. I wouldnt say no, but thats my opinion.

I don't think one can get Diego for under €30M to be honest and Bremen wil probably sell him in the summer of 2008, not earlier.

Is there anything in the German press talking about us showing interest in Diego? From what I hear we are very interested in getting him and also what is your honest opinion of him? I have seen some games of his since Gol tv now show's German matches but not enough to really judge him.

OrgulloVikingo - We actually have been linked to Diego and that was confied by either him or his agent or something like that so it seems like the board is doing something right.

justhammy - But, we already have enough player's that play his position and he would demand a huge wage so no thanks to him.

Well the German press just published the Marca story. Diego said he has no intention of leaving Bremen this year because they helped to get his career back on track. Bremen are losing Klose and Frings so there's no way they're going to sell their third star, next season he will probably increase his value again. I think he will end up at Madrid one day, but not before 2008 or 2009.

My opinion of him? The best player I've seen in the Bundesliga in the past decade. I thought he'd be another one of those typical South American playmakers a la D'Alessandro that can't do sh*t besides some fancy dribblings. But no, Diego's efficiency is absolutely amazing.

sorry mate i was talking in £ not euros. my mistake. 30 mil euros is probably about 17mil pounds so it is around half.

i had only seen a bit of diego so i searched on youtube and found this video

I watch alot of Bundesliga games and the guy is fantastic. The best player there (followed by Lincoln and vd Vaart). I actually dare to say that he would be a better buy then the overall better Kaka. Why? Because I for one remember the super Santos of a few years back with Robinho and Diego in one team. I dont expect us to get him, but if its true then it would be fantastic!
