Speaking of Ballack
Real Madrid are battling Manchester United for midfielder Michael Ballack.
It's been revealed Bayern have been in talks with Real about the Germany international, who is off contract in the summer.
Indeed, Bayern president Franz Beckenbauer admitted last month: "I would probably say to him, yes, go to Madrid. That is where legends are made and every player aspires to play for them."
United boss Sir Alex Ferguson hopes to land Ballack on a pre-contract in January, however it's been suggested the midfielder may demand a release clause which would allow him to join Real should they make him an offer before June.
Yea this sucks they could not be back...so Raul to score a hattrick
btw
Real Madrid have reportedly clinched a mega sponsorship deal with Taiwanese mobile phone giants BenQ.
The shirt sponsorship is said to be worth a staggering £70 million over five seasons and is greater than the previous agreement with Siemans, which was worth £12 million-a-season.
The deal is also part of Real president Florentino Perez's ambition to build his club's brand name throughout the Far East.
Brazil striker Ronaldo and France midfielder Zinedine Zidane have invited some of the world's best players to take part in the third 'Game against Poverty', next month.
The Real Madrid players, who are goodwill ambassadors for the United Nations Development Programme, will each captain a team, the club's website reported.
Italian referee Pierluigi Collina will come out of retirement to officiate the match in the German city of Duesseldorf on Dec. 22.
Proceeds from the game, which was held in Madrid last year, will go to fund anti-poverty projects around the world.
