Diogo should use this opportunity to impress. Salgado has not played well this season imo.

I also think Zidane should only start Champions League matches and a few La Liga matches. I am not worried with Ronaldo out. We can play Raul + Robinho in and if it doe't work well, bring in Soldado. I am very happy with our team right now.

everything looks great for us right now. we have a rock solid defence. Pablo Garcia runs the midfield. Ronie is ON FIRE! 7 goals in 7 matches! hopefully things will continue being this good. for a long time.

meanwhile we wait for some news about Ronie ( i'm pretty sure he won't play vs Rosenborg ), my thoughts about the match

first, Pablo García + Diogo for just 8m was the deal of the year. both were amazing today. Pablo ruled the midfield, and Diogo owned Petrov and he even had time to attack.

Helguera + Ramos look even better every game. Helguera was class today . Ramos was a bit crazy, but he was good too.

Our 'weakest link' was Zidane. He had a good first half, but he was too tired in the second. Luxa did all the right subs, because Guti, Robinho and Diogo played very well. Guti's assistance to Ronaldo was :Bow:.

Casillas did what he had to do: don't let Torres score . I would feel sorry for Torres, but he's as patetico as his team.

good win... but if Ronaldo has a serious injury, it will be very sad.

PS. i missed the weird celebrations

pablo garcia, just wow, this guy played brilliantly, great range, really kicked some ass out there, helluva transfer

diogo, what a great game he had, great pace, looked really good pushing forward and wow, what a tackler, another steal of a transfer

the only players that were mediocre were zidane and baptista

Yep everything is great right now. But I'm still not too optimistic as I remember how bad our start was, and we still didn't play(and win) with any good team. IMO we will see how good we are after game against Valencia.

I think this was Baptista's best Game for Madrid......I think he adds a lot of speed to the attack.

I think Zidane did some magical things on the field, then he went and screwed up for a while.

Ronaldo was tearing the defense apart all night. Robinho couldve scored from Ronaldo's passes to him.

Diogo was sweet, I kept thinking he was RC, so I wasnt too suprised at his speed- then I found out it was indeed Diogo

on ething I noticed on the 3rd gol...
I was asking myself, "why did Ronaldo run 'away' from Robinho? On the right side of perea?"
Then I looked at the gol for the 45th time and I saw R9's billiance. The gol was supposed to be a far post shot. But Robinho's pass was supposed to be long and foward to Ronaldo, instead of short and back and "in" to R9. Thats why it ends up being an own gol. The defender catches the ball going short and back, but R9 is foward and ahead.

even if they are playing mediocre, they are always a tough matchup, especially at their stadium. Bilbao is the same way, the records mean nothing, they always seem to be ready to play real madrid

Zidane really needs to rest, I think we'd be fine if he started only 2/3's of the games for us in La Liga and all of CL. 1/3 of the time we could start Guti/Robinho.
