i dont get this samuel bashing, how come woodgate gets no flak for missing the whole season?

Because Woody was "un/lucky" enough not being able to play so he couldn't show how good OR bad he is.

IMO Samuel is a good defender - but he gets too many YC. Sill aslong as Woody doesn't play and we don't sign new CBs we only have Samuel/Helguera and a half one in Pavon.
