The Real Madrid Thread [2004 - 2005]

i think robinho will be a madrid player in july

i hope for mascherano in the winter, he's the ideal person for me

young, aggressive ball winner, wants to play for madrid

i think morientes is gone, sadly. He deserves to play, giving him 15 to 20 minutes at the end of the game is almost disrespecting him. He will thrive in Liverpool i think. Then in the summer Stevie G. moves to Madrid :rockman:

We are just a few points behind 2nd place, but to catch up to Barça, it will take a lot. I still believe (If we buy a player or two in January).

Damn.

I think that was Sevilla's first win at El Santiago Bernabéu in almost 20 years.

Thank God 2004 is finally overfor Real Madrid C.F.

It has been a terrible year for our team. :(

Raikkonen

Senior Squad
yeah, this year was pretty bad :( and the next one doesn't look good...

the TV showed Sacchi today, he was taking notes on the match. I think he wrote 'the midfield sucks' (H) (jk). I hope he can convince Perez to buy another DM.

I think our problem nowadays is the attack more than the defense.

Most of times we are attacking we dont know what to do with the ball, because of the low movility of attackers, so we finally make a risky pass and lose it. We recieve most goals from this lost balls.

There could be 2 posibilities: sign a creative midfielder and leave Guti as the DM, or the contrary. What we cant pretend is that Guti make both works, creative and destructive, of all our midfield. No player in the world can do it alone.

Parker

Youth Team
True, our player are really passive in atack. We need DM which will allow Guti(and rest) concentrate on creative play more.

Good post(Y) that's what I've been thinking for quite a while. I mean this team is pretty much the same as it was last season, with the exception of Samuel coming in and Cambiasso leaving. Your offence is what's letting you down, I mean it used to be that you'd give up 3 goals and score 4, or give up 4 and score 5. Sadly I think Zizou needs to go come June/July because he's just a shell of himself. Secondly I think you're right about Guti, he needs to be given more space to work creatively and not have to pretty much carry the midfield on both ends.

It seems to me that Perez meant well when he started, but just got carried away, he invested in attackers because you had many defenders. I remember when you guys relied mostly on your DM's. The attack had Morientes, Guti and Raul as the top players. Then there were players who were average at best as backups like Tote, Rivera and Congo. The offensive midfield was also in bad shape, Figo's coming in helped but it was still pretty bad. On the defensive end however you were pretty decent, especially the CDM's with guys like Celades, Makelele, Conceicao, Helguera.

Perez simply got too carried away too fast and now just doesn't know when or probably how to stop.

Merry Christmas to all Real Madrid supporters on these boards. :-paul:

The top thing on my wish list is a couple titles from Los Merengues.

Second on my list is Javier Mascherano. :mrpimp:

Actually, it should be the other way around, because with out any decent DMs your team won't win diddly squat.
