couceiro signed a contract for 1,5 years, so are you supposing pdc will fire yet another manager this season?:confused:

:crazyboy: He told me he couldn't move his neck, I didn't see what happened...

Being the good friend that I am, once again I joined my Boavisteiro friend into another torture session that people like to call 'a Boavista game'. Actually, I went bcs I like watching football live, especially when it's for free. ;)
Your cousin scored a nice goal there, but he kind of sucks right now. He has potential but still a lot to learn in terms of box movement, etc. (tip: watch Jardel's vids.) He should also practice some more headers, bcs he misses them all too much. Maybe Pacheco will help him out and hopefully he'll be Porto caliber next season (well, old Porto caliber anyway).

Porto's game
After that game, I took another free ticket to watch that even more extreme torture session people like to call 'a Porto game featuring Fernandez on the bench'. Aren't we glad that movie is over and done? Geez, I wish I had payed for that ticket too, so that I could ask for my money to be returned in the end...
Braga was far superior, deserved the win and I left the stad with the feeling they could have scored more on us if they wanted...
Amazing that buckethead had no clue whatsoever why he was fired... Which obviously consubstantiates PdC's decision: Fernandez wasn't even aware which team he was coaching and what are the expectations for our team.

Couceiro
Bleh. I wanted... hell... we all wanted Brito. He's a Portista with HEART, and that's half of what our team needs right now. The other half I'm afraid he couldn't provided it yet, and that is why I believed PdC opted for Couceiro, as he believes he'll bring the other half: discipline. It's not easy for some humble (although honest) bloke to come up to sh!t expensive 'stars' like Fabikauskas and demand something out of them. Couceiro is soft-spoken but strict at the same time. He'll get the job done for now.

Ricardo
Muahahaha. :rofl:
Only him to make me laugh at this point.

Bottom line
- This season, if you support one of the 3 major clubs, you'd better keep your guitar in the bag and not taunt your old rivals. You never know for how many you'll lose next week.

- If Braga does not win the league this year - or at least finish in the top 3 spots - they'd better give it all up and start a fishing club instead. The first step on the road to glory was achieved: leading the race at this point. What other club has done that in the past 20 years, apart from Porto, Sporting, Benfica and Boavista?
In these next 2 weeks they'll have their most important test of the season. Being the leaders, the spotlight - and thus all the pressure - will be on them for real for the first time this season.
TEST #1: Deal with the pressure and work a draw or win in the home stad of their biggest rivals, who, although not a great team themselves, are a tough one to beat.
TEST #2: Get the home win against Benfica. Traditionally, Braga's supporters move to the other side of the fence when Benfica's in town. It'll be interesting to see what happens this time around.
If Braga gets at least 4 points out of those 2 games they'll faves to finish in the top 2 spots.

the problem was not only Fernandez and a coach that made what he made in Zaragoza and Celta couldn't be that bad. Off course it's better blame the coach...

Del Neri was the problem too in the pre-season and with Fernandez Porto would return to the golden era. Now Fernandez is the problem and with Couceiro, Porto will return to the victories and so on...

Nobody here said that (not a single Portista). We only want Porto to be playing attractive football, that's all, and with Fernandez the team wasn't simply playing at all.
Is it so hard to understand that we all know the season was badly planned, the signings were not as great as in other years, but Fernandez needed to be replaced because the team was simply not playing at all?? We (Portistas) all know Couceiro isn't the miraculous answer! We all know that this season won't end with the european glories of other years. But if you can't understand that Ferndandez was a bad piece of our chess game, than you probably weren't watching our last games.
A guy that suffers the 3 goal at home, on the 75th minute, and his reaction is to sit on the bench with his arms crossed.... that says it all. A guy that allows this players to elbow everyone.... he needed to get out. And quickly.

I'd just like to add that although criticise Fernandez coaching, I have him in high consideration as a human being.
It's not easy to react calmly as he did, and always in a very polite way. He showed everybody that he is a true gentleman. He was never arrogant at any time, showed great respect for the opponents, and I believe that he left a strong image inside the group of players (concernig to his personality).
He simply wasn't the right coach at the right time, and I never liked his coaching style...

omg look who's talking, This comeing from a guy who's a fan of a team that has had like 5 dream teams and nothing to show for it.

Simao came--->no championship yet
Gomes---->No championship yet
Mantorras--->yep u guessed it
Luisao--->you seeing the pattern right......
Nuno Assis---->let's see what happened.

yes it's normal to be optimistic when change goes on, yes we have changed managers three times this year and it's normal that we expect the next to do better than the old one, just like when you guys think all your new sgning will win you the league, and you guys still remain confident that a new player will change the team completely even after you tried a couple hunfred times alraedy

I don't remember anyone saying that we would be champions just because we sign Simao/Assis/Gomes...

All i remember is that we were happy with those signings because they made us stronger... :confused: Any problem with that?

What Punkt said it's the true, the problem it's not only the coach... Are you happy with Porto signings this year, Well... You shouldn't.

I agree, look at what we brought in this season:
- Lima (???)
- Leandro (???)
- Bonfim (???)

Only ones I like are Diego and Cigano.
Hell, after we got kicked out of the cup by Guima, I was screaming to everyone who wanted to hear it, we should get Assis. But all were like: "No, he's just a small fish, we've got the money for better players"
Ppl, from that list, which one is better than Assis?
Damn, hope Couceiro will kick some sense into PDC, like Zé did. Things might get well again...
