Nice to see another portuguese doing well in foreign leagues, in particular a ex-Boavista one :D Hope he does a great season and reaches a big german club!!! This was Sousa's first match for Hannover and he was nº10, and that will be his number for the full season!

Goo-goo boy: That sure is umbalanced, LOL

Filipower: welcome, coz!

Theoretically , i must agree with this judgement... but let's not be too dogmatic , shall we ? (H)

I never really saw too many from this three players , for making a clear and fundamented judgement ... i saw Diego in the late Copa America , and he didn't impress me much , but he was not a starter... didn't play that much ... but i'm aware the reputation he have in Brasil... but's let wait and see... as for Rogério , he too has a solid reputation back in Brasil... but... again... let's wait... and Everson... well at least he did score a great goal in his career :crazyboy: ( from that news that i saw in rtp ... ) ... who knows , maybe he could be a good player too...

Knowing that Diego have a bigger reputation and bigger potential... spite of that... let's wait ... :)

I wonder how long before he gets a call-up to the NT, he certainly deserved to be at Euro2004 based on his performances last season.

Well it´s hard for Ricardo Sousa to be called with all the prima-donas. Maybe Scolari will give him a chance. But i doubt it. Scolari always tries to achieve this diplomatic balance with call ups from all the top portuguese clubs, with players that do not deserve it but are called up just to please ppl and take spots with no real influence. Players like Ricardo Sousa unfortunately don´t have strong lobbies in our Nt to pressure for their call ups. He must reach "Maradona" status to have a chance.

Sad but true..

I wanna see Romeu get another shot at the NT, he hasn't scored much in recent times but I actually think he's one of our best forwards, he's strong physically and aggressive in the box, which Pauleta clearly wasn't this summer (..I know, some of you think I'm crazy), but you're right Vinnie, I too think it's next to impossible for a player from a club like Guimaraes to get a chance with Scolari in charge.

We don´t really need Romeu. We need to "apostar" in Makukula and Hugo Almeida. I really think that they will fit in our future nt´s since they have those long lost striker qualities that we have been missing in the last decade or so.

Romeu is too old already. He's going in his 30s soon I think. We just have to hope Postiga develops and Nuno Gomes gets his killer touch back and score 20+ goals.

Well those guys definatly have the physical qualities I think our NT needs, especially Makukula. It was so frustrating this past summer watching Pauleta get easily shouldered off the ball by defenders.

But still, Ricardo Sousa deserves his chance... He did a terrific season last year... I'm being honest here, I consider him the best Portuguese set-piece taker! And he was the Superliga top portuguese scorer last year...

BTW, Luis Filipe will play for Marítimo next year and Rogério will play Sporting next 3 years.:)

Rogerio is going back to Brazil court because Palmeiras has first option if he left Santos, and they want him.

we might have Derlei playing for the national team soon, so that shouldering off stuff will be less likely to happen.

Jardel assina pelo Newell’s
Mário Jardel é, desde hoje jogador do Newell’s Old Boys.

Go Jardel!!! :rockman: :D:(

3 internationals(unless something should go wrong, which it appears not) by next Tuesday...

I hope by internationals they mean people who get capped... :crazyboy:

But it's good they realize we need to get someone to replace Petrolina, Areias, and Whinjard.
